“They are LITERALLY life savers here. My Siamese swallowed a bunch of elastic hair bands that were bunched in his intestines and needed emergency surgery to remove. I’m a disabled veteran and they were able to work around my limited fixed income so I wouldn’t have to euthanize him. They even stayed late over 4 hours after they closed to save his life. They are non profit and need donations of any kind. If you want to be philanthropic this year, please consider donating to them. My cat wouldn’t be alive today if it weren’t for Salem Friends of Felines. THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH FOR SAVING LEFTY’s LIFE. He and my kids are eternally grateful.”

“Really nice thrift store. A lot of clothes. A variety of different household items to odds and ends.Clean store. Nice employees. These guys allow you to try on clothes. When others won't open there's. So this is nice to try on before you buy.”

“Such amazing, caring and helpful staff. Brad was super helpful and Great. Danny (I think his name was) did great working his first day at the register. We will definitely be back and stop in over other thrift stores. Every customer that was in before closing was still treated like a friend and with respect unlike other businesses.”

“Such a neat little store. Very neat, methodical, and organized; all clothing was labeled, color-coded, and sectioned off accordingly which made searching and browsing a breeze. There’s a great variety of things to choose from (including shoes, jewelry, and belts!), and everything was priced quite appropriately, especially given the great quality. I chatted with the lady who owns the store, and she was very open and friendly. She talked about her process and the work that goes into running her store. I found it very enjoyable to learn about. Highly recommend if you’re in the area. Came out with some lovely new sweaters.”

“Astonishing low prices and an abundance of wall art, unique lighting accessories, furniture and mirrors makes it easy to purchase a special piece to add to your home decor or to get as a gift for another. They also get new things all of the time, so it's always exciting to see what treasure might be awaiting your next visit.”

“Hubby and I stopped in to check it out last month and found some cool stuff! Max has a great set up with prices to get his stuff moving out the door. If you don't see a price tag, ask what he'll take and he'll make you a deal. We can't wait to go back!”

“Really nice place I go there with my kids every once in a while things are usually in good shape but maybe sometimes a little on the high side of the price but it's for donations so sometimes I don't mind all and all a great place.”

“Lots of bins to dig through. Many new items still in package. The only bad thing, which isn't that bad, is the people pushing your cart out of the way or they push you and your hands away from an item we all want. But, I continue to go back to find more treasures.”

“Excellent shop. I think I already wrote a review on my last visit from Louisiana. Then I bought myself a unique jacket for 20 dollars, a ring for 25 dollars. Good selection of products, clean, friendly staff - well done! And now I'm looking for some kitchen utensils and beautiful soup bowls.”

“I am a fan of St Vinny's for many reasons! Merchandise is nicely displayed, accessible & there is always a large clothing selection. The store is clean (including rest rooms)! The personnel are always busy but available if needed. The prices are in line w/other resale shops & good mark-downs are common!”

“I just described my experience in the questions, but its one of my favorites. Especially the south store. I bought a vera wang sweater on a color tag special for 6.99. i only had one other item of hera in my closet, not because i dont like her clothes, but because i cant afford them. One woman's junk is another woman's treasure lol. Had i bought that sweater today i could have saved another 10 percent for senior discount lol. Love it !”

“I've been to Salems Plato's Closet three separate times recently within the last 30 days hoping to sell some clothing items and earn extra cash. I was please you happy with the cash offers each time and the friendliness of all staff at register areas. I observed the three employees each visit working together and answering my questions. They were friendly and prompt. Thank you and I'll be back!! You guys do a fine job!”
