I am also having a rough time with this post office. They won't deliver to my house anymore due to an encounter the interim postmaster had with my dog. That I admit and understand. However, she lied to the police and said that I allowed my dog to "roam the neighborhood." That didn't happen and have video of the incident. Also, they are required by law to build a mailbox away from my house if they cut off service. Several months later, that still has not happened. I have to pick up my mail from post office and with my work schedule, very difficult to do.3 years later.....and they still suck.

Very frustrating with the post office. They have put my packages in the wrong mailbox more times than I can count. The postmaster needs to pay attention to whose mailbox is who's. Absolutely ridiculous.

I’m guessing by all the reviews nothing is being done about the staffing issue . I’m not sure if there’s not enough people qualified for the job or what but unfortunately the people working there don’t want to work. Went in with my sister to see if we could pick up a package that was a bit delayed because of weather which is fine so we went in and we immediately feel unwelcome when asked how we can be helped I ask “ is it possible to pick up a package that has arrived here “ she tells me anything that was shipped this morning will get delivered tomorrow . A little bummed by that I ask again are you sure I can’t receive it now she then proceeds to huff and say “ so you want me to look through the bottom of the cart .. okay “ honestly I would have just preferred no sorry instead of me feeling like I inconvenienced you at your WORKPLACE the place where you work . I myself am big on do your job thoroughly and help the best you can . Needless to say I was very unsatisfied by the service today . Either way nothing will be done but I appreciate whoever saw this hqve the day you need :) god blessEdit : I do wanna say I love our delivery drivers ! Thank you for what you do!

On multiple occasions packages have been put into incorrect mailboxes, keys for packages have been placed in other residences mailboxes, and packages have been sent back to sender or disposed of incorrectly. Can't seem to get things right here. Not sure how much more of this will continue before something is done to correct these issues.

I called yesterday and asked them to keep my package at the post office because wasn't sure of size. The lady on the phone said no problem but when I went to check my mail today it was crammed in my mailbox anyways. I really see why this post office is getting negative reviews cause it seems they deserve them.

I have always been extremely happy with the service at the Independence PO. Even helped when a huge box was sent via mail.

No I would not recommend the Independence post office most of the employees are rude I’ve had a lot of issues with them losing my packages and I have had to file complaints with the state about employees here.

As a retired senior citizen with a hearing impairment, I am now told that the USPS will not do door delivery because they have deem it UNSAFE to park on corner. Every day for the past 12 years I have received this service & to date they still stop on the street at the mailbox. Did I mention there is a 10ft x 16ft space in the driveway available that they refuse to use. It must be the 100ft walk to the porch that is the problem? Not like the old days!

If I could rate them zero starts I would. The lady who attends people with passport appointments is so rude. Wasted my time making an appt at this office. They need new staff members.

For very Basic Postal needs they are ok. But if you are having trouble with Postal Fraud and Claims go some where else they are useless!

They have never even tried to deliver signature required mail. And they delivered 3 weeks worth of mail even though I put a hold on it. They just keep cramming it into the mailbox. I've been to this post office more in the last year, to fix their mistakes, than I have the rest of my life combined.

Everyone has always been kind and helpful and prompt. Love my small town post office.
