Had a pair of Joseph Siebel shoes that I love! When they got warm after wearing a bit, the right one had a squeak. Drove me nuts. I had them for over a year and they still looked new. I wore them to the store, so the manager could hear the squeak. She said some of that style did have that issue. She allowed me to pick out a new pair with a small fee for the price difference. What great service! I will go back in the future and I love the discount for my birthday month. Their shoes are pricey, but last due to the high quality.

This is by far the worst store here in town. I had placed a special order for uggs on a Friday and I went in the following Tuesday just to find out they gave my order to another person. Very frustrating for sure, lady didn’t even bother to make something work or order again didn’t even APOLOGIZE! Very upsetting for sure!

I bought a pair of Birkenstocks here while I was visiting from out of state. The fit wasn't right for me, and even though I had worn them for several months, they sent me a new pair (actually twice since there was an error in the first replacement). Their return policy is amazing, and their staff went above and beyond. Thank you, Footwise. I'll definitely buy from them again and would highly recommend ?

I’ve been in here 3 times since summer and will never be back. First off, NO AC. During the heatwave, the employees and customers are forced to shop/work in an environment where there was no AC. I could only handle being there 10 minutes until I had to leave due to the heat. I couldn’t imagine how the employees had to feel. I wrote a note and dropped it in a feedback box in hopes to get some ac in there for customers or employees. Obviously nothing worked. The employees although sweating their tailbones off were extremely nice. Especially employees Talia and Justin (hope I got their names correct).Despite the horrible work conditions, they managed to keep a smile and not complain meanwhile more than one customer in there at the time kept on saying something. Although not their fault and a situation they were unable to control, the 2 workers continued to apologize to everyone. I managed to get my pair of work shoes and left. The 1 star is for poor management. The 3rd time I went in was in November. I was greeted nicely again by an employee, but another worker was there I never seen before. I felt very uncomfortable being around them, as I could see them glaring and staring down at the other employee. They talked to me nicely but then turned around and talked down to the nice employee when she didn’t do anything. I asked for a manager because to me, this behavior is uncalled for. Especially in front of customers and making them feel uncomfortable. I was shocked when I was told she was the store manager. Maybe she was having a bad day? But still no excuse to take it out on an employee. Another horrible choice from the higher ups. Not going to give them my business as they don’t care about employees.

Came in with a broken pair of Dansko clog bought in April of 2023. Strap broke which was a bummer. Sadly I had no receipt and purchase was not saved under my name. With help from Talia and her supervisor they exchanged for a new pair. Fantastic customer service. My feet are very happy.

The staff here are very friendly and will not pressure into buying anything. They take their time to time to help you find what you are looking for. I suck at names, but thanks to everyone that were there!

Okay, there was a time when I would have given this business all 5 stars, but I have become very disillusioned. I have been shopping at Hood River Footwise for many years. Probably since they first opened. I have worn Birkenstocks for over 45 years, as well as Keens and Danskos, since I have always had wide feet. I have gotten my Birkenstocks re-soled many times via the Footwise store. Last spring (May of 2022) I brought two pairs of sandals to be repaired. Thought it a bit odd to not be given any paperwork or receipt, but I've never had a problem. They notified me in July my sandals were ready. When I arrived there was only one pair. I asked, and the employee promised he would look into it. I never heard back so I phoned later and asked. He asked me again to describe the shoes and said again he would look into it. He dropped the ball again. A couple weeks later, (last Tuesday) the manager of the store called me to ask about the sandals (size and style) then told me she would look into it and call me back. She didn't. I went to the store on Monday to ask what the problem was. The employee phoned the repair facility then handed the phone to me. The woman on the other end claimed to have been trying repeatedly to reach me but said I never answered and didn't have voicemail set up (false!!) then she claimed my voicemail box was always full and she couldn't leave a message (also false!!) Then she told me the sandals were in such poor repair, the footbed being cracked, that they don't re-sole and recommended footbed replacement. No thanks. I never noticed a crack, nor did anyone mention one to me when I dropped them off. (They always take a good look at the shoes before they send them for repair.) I was completely disgusted. Told her to discard them. (I don't even trust they have the right shoes --it's mid September now!) I contacted the main company via the internet and they have not answered my complaint. I will never go there again. Bad enough that they have treated me with such disregard to begin with but to be lied to about attempted phone calls simply takes the cake, and I think she lied too about the condition of the shoes!!! They have made no attempts to try to make me happy, which is shocking to me. I regret having given them a huge amount of business over the years. I guess they have more customers than they need.
