Lovely shop. I bought locally made soap and hand lotion. The attendant gave me a great tip on a local waterfall hike which was well worth it.

What a great little spot for all kinds of unique gifts, household additions, art, etc. I want you give a special shout out to Sarah Read. I came in to buy a pair of earrings that my lady wanted as a surprise. When I came back to get them, they were sold out. Sarah happened to be working behind the counter (which is not her norm) & saw my disappointment and asked if I was looking for something in particular. Turns out, she is the artist that made them (Poloka Jewelry). She asked if I would like her to make them and she would get them shipped out and even offered to put in a note for me as it was a surprise!! I was blown away by the customer service and the added bonus with the note! Thanks again for a great experience! Sure was thoroughly surprised and loves them. The store is great… stop reading and get on in there!

Art on Oak has wonderful art from local artists..beautiful jewelry, ceramics, hats, paintings and even wands! It's a sweet and fun place. I fell in love with the Grow Art Cycle jewelry from local artist Christina Dauenhauer, who was there and super helpful and kind. I bought gorgeous necklaces and rings for holiday gifts and a cute hat. This place is a gem!

This gallery showcases local artists who create on a variety of mediums. Ceramics, linens, metal work, paintings, jewelry, pottery, glass, bronze sculptures, watercolors and more. Many of the pieces reflect the nature and beauty of the Columbia Gorge and Hood River. So much to take in! The shop is also run by artists so they are super knowledgeable and helpful. Enjoyed seeing the cotton tea towels with handmade prints of Hood River flowers, fruit and even beers! Made by Crisp & Tart, I highly recommend these for your own use or for gifts. I have several and I've gifted even more! Recipients are always delighted. Stop in often as the art changes. In the hallway they showcase larger paintings and rotate those artists. Located right on Oak, as the name implies, make it part of your routine! Support local. Support local artisans.

Such an eclectic mix of artists. Could browse for an hour and not see everything they have to offer. Always staffed by one of the artists.

I made a point to stop in here because the artist cooperative features Karen Sarí³ Troeger – Touch the Sky – Leather Journals. I'd seen Karen's work years before and it always stuck with me, how much care and love was put into making these journals. Besides the journals, there were so many other lovely things to see in this shop. I enjoyed talking to the people that were minding the store - not sure but they may have been local artists themselves. Take note of the iconic carpeting they installed throughout the store, you might even be tempted to snap a photo. Oh and if you're so inclined there is a wine shop/bar inside the same building.
