Had to take my pup in for stitches and was very worried because she's an anxious dog. Not only was the doctor awesome and very confident in working with an anxious dog but the front desk staff was wonderful. It's a very busy place but no one seemed cranky or snippy. Best experience I've ever had at a vet.

Dr. Pilversack has been attentive and thoughtful every time I have taken my pets in. You can see that he is a caring person in how he treats you and your precious ones. Yes, scheduling is problematic at times, but getting an actual appointment at another Doctor is usually weeks out. And, the blond girl at the front desk is rude and doesn't listen. That being said, the doctors here are the best. Honestly, that's my priority. 5 stars for doctors and care, less for that rude receptionist. Sorry

Why? Why on earth are you a walk in only clinic and not even an emergency hospital? I don't understand it. It would be significantly easier for patients and staff, if you made appointments. Obviously, block out time slots for urgent visits but there's no reason not to have appointment times. You're forcing everyone to form a line at 7am (when you don't open until 8), then you have 20 dogs and all the pet parents crowded into the waiting room. Dogs growling at snapping at each other and just complete, utter chaos. Dogs waiting hours to be seen. You know, all this could be avoided if you just scheduled visits. I've never seen another vet clinic that didn't allow appointments, it's absurd. I've tried to deal with it in hopes you would come to your senses and do what's best for everyone but I'm done. Nonsense at it's finest

Called around all over Portland/Beaverton/Hillsboro for a cat spaying appointment and they were about the only vet able to schedule me less than 4 months out for which I was grateful! Like other vets around they are completely inundated with demand for services and everyone in the office is working double time. Spay went smoothly and 6 days post surgery everything is looking great - literally no visible scar or surgery mark on my cat. Staff is friendly and caring but also SO busy. It's next to impossible to get the level of attention or more relaxed pace of interaction you'd like to have with a vet but it's obvious everyone here is working insanely hard and doing their best to deal with the enormous work load and treat the animals and people who come through the door with empathy and compassion. Much appreciated - thanks team!

Incompetent. Zero compassion, They wanted to perform immediate emergency surgery on my pet for a reproductive infection(pyometra). Took my dog to Dove Lewis the next day...no infection what so ever, she had cancer in several places and placed on hospice care do to the severity of her cancer and a bleeding spleen. She passed away after a brief time on hospice care . This horrible place wanted to perform a thousand dollar emergency surgery right away for the WRONG diagnosis. Thank god I took her to Dove because something didn't seem right with why they wanted to do the surgery. Also, Dove said ultra sound showed zero signs of pyometra. THAT is how utterly incompetent they are. Keep your animals away from these people!

Making an elderly owner (81) wait in the parking lot for over three hours with his Great Dane who had had a debilitating stroke is not good service not compassionate care for the animal or the owner. It's shocking and that a vet would treat a long term client like this. Terrible just terrible. I'd give no stars if I could.

I had called around and visited at least ten different animal clinics, and none of them could see my hamster for one reason or another. He had a urinary tract infection, so it was an easy fix, but I couldn't get anyone to see him to get him antibiotics. Companion Animal Hospital was the ONLY place In WA county that could get me in, and they got me in SAME DAY! Not only that, it was at least half the price of the other animal clinics. The facility is clean, and the staff is very friendly. The vet was so kind and understanding that I cared about a hamster (he's like our cat). Even though it was busy, they were extremely helpful and professional. The wait wasn't very long either, and people are able to leave after they've checked in. My experience was altogether great. They saved our tiny family pet's life. If I could give them a ten-star rating, I would!

I took my cat here after he had thrown up six times within the hour. I expected a wait so I signed in and was handed a new intake form. After I filled that out I sat it on the counter right in front of the front desk ladies. Multiple times I watched the front desk ladies look at that paper work but never move it, since I've never been there I thought nothing of it. After waiting there for two hours and witnessing a lady who came in 40 minutes after me get sent to a room I asked when my cat would be seen. It was not until then that I was informed that they never signed me in on their end and threw away the sign in sheet with my name on it. A waste of two hours, and I was not going to waste my money on a place that disorganized.

We found out one of our cats had a urinary infection. I called our local vet (who was booked out until mid-june-as was the other vet I called) and they recommended companion animal hospital. i called then and they said they were walk in only and what to expect for a wait time. I got there about an hour later and was seen within 15 minutes. Dr Margaret was so gentle with our cat. She did an exam and took him back to determine if he did have a uti. I was there for about 2 hrs all together (most of that was waiting for my cat to build up some urine). The staff was very friendly and the vet explained everything very well. I will definitely be bringing my cats here again.

We had to put our fur baby to sleep yesterday. The lady appeared to be rude and indifferent. I don't know what her problem was, but it left a painful and traumatic impression on all of us. So different than when we needed this difficult service before. We have used this clinic for about 15 years and are looking to move on.

My poor 10 years old kitty had slowly been showing increasing signs of fast difficult breathing. Unfortunately she was not registered with my regular vet yet, although one of my other kitties is. Regardless, the wait was 2 weeks. So, I spent the better part of the morning on the phone calling around the westside to see if any vets in the area could see my cat same day or the next as a walk-in. Breathing issues are considered an emergency symptom and obviously I wasn't about to wait 2 weeks. No one had room for a same day walk-in, most recommended taking my cat to the 24 HR emergency vets instead. Unfortunately Tanasbourne and Dove Lewis emergency vets are always ridiculously busy, triage for breathing issues usually have a quicker initial response, but average wait time for treatment if considered stable is 8 hours! That's insane. Complaining about 2 hours is nothing compared to 8 on average. ER are great services for life threatening, but anything else is just crazy to wait around. I have used Tanasbourne before, and because of Covid I was not allowed inside, which I'm sure made things much more stressful for my cat, not to forget the hours sitting in the car. I wasn't about to go through that whole lengthy process again, plus you're technically not allowed to leave, so Companion was a good alternative. Luckily Companion in Aloha recommended calling Hillsboro as they take walk-ins and are actually a walk-in clinic. Companion Animal Hospital in Hillsboro was able to see my kitty immediately same day. They were able to get X-rays and put her on oxygen immediately with a diagnosis and treatment in about an hour and a half. They updated me on her condition with recommendations on future treatments and maintenance. The entire process was much less stressful, with a far shorter wait than having to go through the usual emergency vets at 4-8+ hours. You were also allowed inside and into waiting rooms wearing a mask. All of the staff was pleasant, helpful and friendly and even helped me getting the carrier back and forth since I have some mobility issues. Easy parking. Only odd thing is the main entrance is on the street side instead of the attached parking lot on the side of the building. Other than that, large clean waiting area and bathrooms. You are allowed to leave after check-in, they can call you just before your name is up or give you an estimate of how long the wait is. If you miss the call your spot will get bumped to the next in line. They also appear to have regular clients. No complaints, would definitely take my kitties here again, excellent when in a pinch. Earlier is better. Thanks for keeping my kitty breathing safely on such short notice, she's happy to be home and is back to her normal self.

We have taken 6 of our dogs here over the many years and been completely happy with them. They treat our pets like family and always keep us updated if a surgery is performed. Our dogs have always enjoyed going there and love to go to the vet. We just had our puppy neutered and chipped and they were awesome like always. Thank you to the staff who always treats us and our dogs so well.

First, my sisters dog was really sick. Spent thousands of dollars for them to say "they don't know".. I talked my sister into taking her down to the animal hospital in tanasbourne.. they saved her life. (Highly recommend that place) Second, my grandmother just took our little dog (after I told her not to) and they recommended a surgery on his eye. Fine. We did the surgery. It looked awful. The doctor who did this surgery was an idiot. Sounded like one that is.. he kept referring our dog as a female dog. I asked if he was talking about the same dog .. OUR DOG?? When we went to pick up our dog.. we KNEW something wasn't right with him. They kept giving us new medication to give him. Weeks later we took him back him. That doctor DIDNT KNOW WHAT ELSE TO DO FOR HIM. We then took him to an eye surgeon for dogs. That surgeon basically said that the surgery they did on our dog was unnecessary & could possibly have made him lose his eye. Thousands of dollars we have put into this malpractice vet clinic & im finally happy that my family will STOP taking their animals here! since the two good doctors left, this place is full of incompetent people! Don't take your animals here. Find somewhere better!!

The worst vet experience I have ever had! If you like to have your day waisted then highly recommend it! 3 hrs after a quoted 1hr wait I finally get called in a room of to sit for another hour before walking out without every having a dr come in the room!
