Great club with solid leadership and a well rounded offering. The swim program is strong. 2 indoor and an outdoor pool. Group X classes are well rounded and the equipment recently upgraded. Nice courts, indoor track. Saunas and steam rooms. Great yoga instructors!

Nice family run and family friendly health / athletic club. Lots of fun programs, staff is very nice and they make the most of the facilities. Still trying to make the cafe work, seems like a demand issue but would be a nice amenity if they can find the right setup. Upgrades to some weight machines would be good enhancement.

A place that treats you like family. Me and my wife are members for over 4 years. Great for all ages.

I have belonged to Hawthorn club for over 20 years. Their variety of available classes and equipment, as well as the lap pool are a great advantage.

Been long time members here with my family. The staff has always been friendly and helpful when needed. The pools are nice.Reasons for only 4 out of 5 stars: 1) Weekend hours are too short, please bring back pre-Covid hours, and 2) a lot of my favorite equipment in the weight room was removed during a remodel a year or two ago. At least there are two barbell racks now. They’ve become popular enough that I honestly think a third is justified.

We have been with HFAC for almost 10 years, even during the Covid, we were still supporting their business by keeping the membership. But today we decided to cancel our membership because we feel that they do not value the existing members. We had a very unpleasant experience last Friday when I took my 6 year old kid to the swimming pool. A coach there told us in a very rude attitude that we could only use the deep side of the pool even after I told her that it is not safe for my kid who cannot swim to play in the 6ft side of the pool. She said her name is MOLLY and she is the FLOOR MANAGER, and she gets to decide who can stay in the pool and where they can stay.As an existing member for almost 10 years, I have never read such policy on their website that members do not have the freedom to use the facility. So I called the gym this morning, and the GENERAL MANGER told me it is their new policy that no member shall use the pool when there is a swimming lesson. They changed the policy because there are a lot more swimming lessons now. She also told me that the coach get to decide if they want to KICK other members out of pool. Which to me, is kind ridiculous since the use of pool is included in our membership. It was a very unpleasant conversation I had with the staff from HFAC. Her attitude was very rude and impatient as if I was occupying her time to relax. But isn't that their job to provide members help when we need???ALL in all, this is not the same gym when we signed up. We are moving on to another gym that values members.

I have been charged twice since I signed papers to cancel membership. Make sure you tell your bank not to allow them to keep charging your account.

The friendliness and attentiveness of the management, front desk staff, instructors, housekeeping, and janitors is this club’s best quality in a crowded field. The staff set a strong clear tone that’s echoed in the overall neighborliness of the club.

I would highly recommend looking elsewhere for a family gym.I joined because of the kids club to use while I workout and had an awful experience, didn't even end up leaving my kid there to be watched because of how bad it was.I tried cancelling my membership since I can't even use the gym due to no childcare and they're making me continue to pay.0/10 would not refer anyone to this gym.

We have been members for nearly 3 years. It's been the best investment we've ever made into our fitness and overall wellness.

Nice family oriented facility,(edit) but if you drop your membership and are picking up your child.from swimming lessons, prepare to be treated like a minority in the 60's.

We mainly joined this club for swimming classes. Its good for private swim lessons, we loved our Coach Jesse. But its not meant for families. Nope. No lifeguard onsite. No help to support families either, very disappointing. Can be and should be improved. Specially the club closes at 3.30 pm over weekends. No other facility has these early hours for weekends.

The space inside this facility is wonderful, don't feel claustrophobic. Very easy atmosphere from other members and all the staff. Love the rubberized indoor track to walk or jog on with big windows to look out of and it overlooks the basketball, pickle ball and racketball courts, so lots to be distracted by as you exercise. This track is worth its weight in gold during cold, rainy and or snowy days. Also great to have this track on smokey days as they have great clean air inside. The indoor lap pool is great too and on warm or hot days the large rollup doors are open to the fresh air and sunshine. Love the steam room and sauna as well as the jacuzzi. They also offer many classes to add to the variety of things you can look forward to. Have belonged to this gym with my husband for close to 15 years and we are very happy with the place. Also commend them on their attention to cleanliness and adherence to policy during the pandemic. I always check on the new competition in our area and this place with that indoor walking track, steam room plus being locally family owned wins out every time. If you have kids there is a climbing wall, daycare and lots of activities for them. All in all, this is a great place to stay active, healthy and in shape.

I wish I could give minus 5 stars for how these people just treated me. We made a deal to purchase 4 reformers from them and I drove 11 hours to get there and stayed overnight at an airbnb. When I went to pick up the reformers Andre takes me to a back office and makes a big show of scrutinizing all my hundred dollar bills and then says they all look fake. He makes a big point of saying he isn't an expert in case it catches up to him, but he won't take my money or paypal or venmo either. It's Sunday morning and the banks aren't open so at this point I'm just screwed and finally I give up and leave. So another 11 hour drive home hating these crooks the whole way was my reward for trying to deal with them. In total this cost me 22 hours of driving and over $500 in gas and lodgings. Probably they got a better offer(s) for the equipment so they came up with an excuse to shine me on. No, the money wasn't fake. He was saying the picture of the watermark didn't look like the picture on the bill, but if you read up about it online you see the pictures are a little different, and all the watermarks on the bills are exactly what they should be. In retrospect it's obvious they planned this out how to get rid of me so they could get more money for the equipment and his whole show of examing the bills was just a big farce. The gas stations I kept handing them out to on the way back home certainly had no problem taking them and those people scrutinize every bill. To compound this, I cut off the first 2 days of a trip to South Dakota that I've been planning for a couple of months to pick up these reformers. So after driving home after 2 days of 11 hour driving I now have 2 more days of the same to go on my trip, so 4 days straight of nothing but driving. Thanks so much people. I just mention this so you know how bad you really hurt me today. 22 really really really miserable hours of my life and $500 stolen from me. Just remember that if you want to know what kind of people they really are.

Their hours of operation were reduced during COVID-19 to Mon-Fri to close at 8PM and 4PM on weekends but they still charge the same amount as they did when they were open until 10PM on weekdays and 6PM on weekends. If you are a working parent good luck using the gym in the evening since they’ll be closed by the time the kiddos are asleep. They say they are waiting for more people to join before they return to regular hours which seems a complete disregard of current customers and their needs.I strongly recommend to rectify before I suspend my subscription and move to Villa Sport Athletic club whose hours of operation actually meet a family’s schedule
