“Changing my rating. This complex advertises how accessible the MAX station is, yet they've erected a pointless fence that adds time and energy to the walk. I overheard the maintenance workers checking the fence calling those who wanted to take the more direct path "lazy ****s." Very unfriendly for a place that shares a name with said MAX station.”
“I've lived at Cortland Village about two months now. I recommend it. It's quiet, well-maintained, and very well managed. Kristie and Kiley were helpful, professional and knowledgeable from the very start. I give it a full 5 stars.”
“As a Nexus resident for close to two years and counting, I strongly feel that the complex is getting a raw deal on this site. This is one of a large number of apartment complexes in the Orenco Station area, and I assume that the main audience for these reviews is people who are moving to this area and deciding between those complexes. Good news for those people: all of the negative reviews about parking and towing are irrelevant to you! If you live here, you can park here, and your friends, with one of the two passes you get, can park here too. When I got a job in Hillsboro, I looked at all the apartments between the Max stop and New Seasons. The first thing I noticed was that Vector and Hub 9 had the highest reviews; the second thing I noticed was that neither apartment is air conditioned. Priorities may vary between residents, but for me, no air conditioning in a city with many 90-plus-degree summer days is an instant deal breaker. Those buildings look pretty, but that's useless to those of us who want to live comfortably in our apartments during summer. Nexus is air conditioned, which moved it to the top of my list. I've been happy with Nexus the entire time I've lived here. The office staff is friendly. The fire alarms you'll read about in the reviews here haven't been a problem in my experience - I have heard them go off in other Nexus buildings (never in my building), but during summer I hear fire alarms go off in the other apartment complexes across the street even more often. The apartments are spacious - they don't have the fancy interior design of a couple other nearby buildings, but when you bring friends over, they'll still say, "Nice place." Rent does increase every time I renew my lease, but this is standard throughout Orenco Station and I don't count it as a negative against Nexus. Among other positives, the maintenance staff regularly responds to requests on weekends, there is valet trash pickup, and the location between the Max and New Seasons is incredible. Above all, I'd advise those shopping for a place to rent in the Orenco area to look beyond the average star rating and look at the specific pros and cons of each place. For me, the decision was easy.”

“Brad was very quick in responding to our maintenance request. Less than 12 hours response time! I have never experienced such excellent and fast service. Superb service in Tessera.”
