Dr. Barkley is simply the best. When my cat was going through dietary issues, she listened to every concern and had a plan for every eventuality. Her staff is kind, patient, and supportive. I highly recommend this clinic to everyone!

We're a multi-cat house and take all of our fur babies to All About Cats. The care that our animals receive is top notch. Vets and techs are knowledgeable and helpful, and have gone above and beyond for our pets more than once.
Whether it's a spay/neuter, illness or flea treatment I know our cats are in good hands.

I called to set up an appointment for a very young stray kitten I recently took in that has an upper respiratory infection, and the receptionist was really rude. Without even understanding the situation, she berated me about having to wait 90 days and look harder for the owner (this is obviously a kitten from a stray litter, I guess All About Cats is unaware that Portland has a stray crisis and shelters are full and fewer adoptive homes are available - nor did she even ask how long I've had the kitten and tried to look). In the meantime they wouldn't even see the kitten, so I had to go elsewhere for veterinary care.

long story short? 10000000/10 recommend the incredible people at All About Cats. We're so grateful that Dr. Barkley and Dr. Rataj are practicing in our community. ** This review has been sitting in my drafts for a while because, frankly, it's a tough one that involves the loss of my childhood feline brother. However, All About Cats went above and beyond to make sure our cat had compassionate care and always strived to do the best for him, despite the grim odds we were dealt. From the prompt appointment and in depth care when we noticed something was wrong, to the empathy throughout as we faced a likely lymphoma diagnosis you never want to hear to squeezing in for an ultrasound and doing the best as we confronted the incredibly heartbreaking end of life stage, the outpouring of support made a world of difference. It's the little things and while we hope no one ever ever has to go through the awful rollercoaster that is cancer, knowing we were in the hands of such kind, compassionate staff who could sense our heartbreak and didn't stop one bit to go the extra mile for our sweet boy is a fact that offers me solace. All About Cats treated our entire family with deep respect, always. ** As life does, we welcomed another member to our family, a sweet kitten. They have been just as responsive and patient and caring when we needed to run to the vet (thankfully just in time, squeezing us in). Thank you, All About Cats, truly. Such immense gratitude for all the heroic efforts you take for our feline family!

KEEP YOUR CAT AWAY AND GO TO A REAL VET:
Took my cat in February for being a little underweight and vomiting a couple of times a week. Was told his weight was normal and they suggested the vomiting was due to some food allergy. Suggested blood work, and they came back with IBD. Suggested there could be some underlying condition and wanted to do further tests. We had declined the further testing, due to cost concerns. After expressing cost concerns and wanting to just go the route of adjusting diet, the immediate response from the doctor (who has been the doctor for our cat since we adopted him 5 years ago) was this: "After some consideration, with his breed, age, and chronic symptoms, I would prefer that he see a specialist moving forward. I like Sunstone Veterinary Referral, but there are many choices in the Portland area."
We asked follow-up questions of Dr. Barkley, which were met with no response and no care. We then agreed to do the further expensive testing to help them determine "what was wrong with him". Put us on some medication and did more blood work and imaging as they requested. Surprise, everything came back "Normal" except for what seemed to be a food allergy, and they suggested a diet of duck and rabbit. After requesting to meet with the "specialist" who we paid to do the procedure, we were told they don't speak to clients. LOL, look at what her notes say to us when we picked him up. This is now April, and my cat cannot even stand, much less drink water on their own. I understand this condition and the timeline of this is normal for a cat with IBD. The frustration is these people single-handedly have been so detrimental to my cat's health I can't help but feel frustrated. Cat was fine before these people ever got involved with my cat. Finally found another clinic who will be taking care of my fur family members.
Update: This place is so overpriced it’s crazy. We went to an actually vet they took our kitty kept him hooked up to IV over night and new blood work for 500. Called us and gave us a direct line where we can get updates.
All about cats initially tried charging me 800 after quoting 400 for blood work and a rabies vaccine. On top of that and all the visits every time I called to ask the vet a question they were “busy” or “didn’t have reception” . Not 1 time was I able to ever talk to the vet after countless attempts to get them over the phone.
If you care about your cat please stay away.

Very compassionate about my older kitty. Dr Rajat knew exactly what she needed when we brought her in for severe sneezing and lethargy. He is surrounded by a wonderful team as well! This is an extremely clean and impressive locally owned clinic. Our cat is doing so much better now!

My cat Spicoli has been going here for years. Great veterinarians and staff, very friendly and flexible. Plus I always get the beastie bands from them. Very soft stretchy collars with awesome designs. The prices are decent and I have never had a bad experience. Me and Spicoli give them 5/5 hands down.
