“I don't normally visit laundromats, only when on vacation. We were camping at Alfred a Loeb State Park and had to do some laundry. I was able to find at the laundromat quickly I'm not too far from the campsite. People here were friendly, minding their own business, and answering questions if I had any. It is in the shopping center that doesn't have too many stores to go into, but I was able to find a local pet store to get some treats for my puppy. There are single load machines, double load machine, and a triple load machines. I only used the single load machine since I had two small loads to do. Some people shared that the double and triple load machines were very good. There's a nice assortment of vending machines and a change machine that makes change for bills and dollar coins. Overall this was a nice laundromat. Could use a tiny bit of tidying up but in general it was pretty clean and efficient.”

“Karen is an amazing person who greeted me with a warm welcome. When I was browsing, she offered some samples and even told me not to feel like I had to buy something. I bought a bunch of great, unique chocolates and candies. She also carries many other products, not only sweets, so make sure to stop by and check her store out! Thanks, Karen, for being you. We need more people like you :)”

“Best gas prices around but a few of the staff are not very helpful. I pulled in to the attendant line only to be told the hoses were not long enough to go to the opposite side of my truck. I laughed because they'd fueled this way in the past. I drove through and went to self-service and did it myself.”

“Very good place for diesel fuel and unleaded gasoline with 80 cents cheaper on average. The shop is also very well stocked with all kinds of snacks. I really appreciate the cleanliness and well stocked market next to Hwy 101 and even the window washing soap and brush with paper towels are always in top shape.”

“Great employees always willing to help, have most things on most days and no crowds compared to the market. Always an easy in and out for most things you need and with the crazy prices everywhere now they are a nice option to have.”

“Clean and well stocked. Needed paper plates and their brand was less expensive and they had plenty in stock. Good stop if you need something quick. It's a little out of the way from Crescent City, close to Smith River but not a bad drive.”

“Fred Meyer has done a great job of keeping the store mostly stocked during Covid. The prices are a bit higher than Walmart they are less than some other major grocers. Generally I find staff to be ok. Some far better than others but that isn't unusual with so many employees. The pharmacy is getting back in gear and churning people faster and faster. I love the garden center and try to visit it whenever I have a few extra minutes.”

“We are vacationing along the coast and stopped at Fred Myer in Brookings OR to get a prescription filled. I happened to notice there was an optical store near the pharmacy. One of the earpieces had come off my 5 year old pair of glasses and was being held in place by some scotch tape. Not ideal for a 2 week vacay! So I darted in with the hope that the optician/tech might be able to fix it temporarily better than I did. I was met by the most pleasant, cheerful young lady by the name of Makayla B. After I briefly explained my situation, she said "no problem, will you let me replace the earpiece, it will just take a few minutes?" With nothing to lose I gratefully said I'd appreciate any improvements she could make. A few minutes later, Makayla came back out with my glasses in hand, cleaned them and had refit them with a brand new earpiece!"No charge, we just like people to be able to see well," she said. Indeed, the glasses were firmly put back together in much better shape than when I entered.Bottom line - I'm posting this review because I was stunned and delighted at the incredible level of service Makayla provided. I just don't see that anymore, so it was a very refreshing experience for me. If I lived anywhere near I would be doing any future glasses or contacts business at Fred Myer in Brookings! Couldn't recommend Fred Myer Optical or Makayla B. any more enthusiastically!R. SmithMt Pleasant SC”
