I’m from Eastern Oregon and came across Quilting Delights while visiting my son and his wife in Milwaukie. They were expecting their first child and I wanted to make a quilt for her. I signed up for a class to make the quilt and showed up with my Pfaaf machine to learn how to embroider this beautiful baby quilt. I didn’t know how to work the embroidery part of the machine, and we couldn’t get the program to work for it. Thea offered to let me use a Bernina machine that weekend that I eventually bought. Thea and the ladies there were so very helpful and welcoming! Thea has always been helpful with my questions across the state via phone, texts and email. She has gone above and beyond with her time and expertise. Quilting Delights is my first choice for starting any new project. ❤️

Quilting delights is a wonerful quilt shop and is a great place to go for all your quilting needs. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Aaron provides the best machine service in town and has a quick turnover time. I wouldn't take my bernia anywhere else! Debb

Just really odd vibe from this lady. There are other craft and sewing stores. Avoid.

I can't say enough about Aaron who does sewing machine servicing and repair at Quilting Delights. Not only is he knowledgable, but his turnaround time is much faster than anywhere else that I know about. Thank you Aaron for servicing my machine and fixing the issue it had in such a timely fashion. I appreciate it so much and the 5 stars are much deserved!!

my husband and i came in to purchase some omni thread for our longarm. the vibe was weird as soon as we stepped in. the lady over at the cutting table asked us if we needed any help and then we told her what we were looking for.she led us over to where the thread is. i said “oh here it is, thank you.” she kept standing there. my husband said “we’ve got it” and she started messing with the threads that were right next to us. i told her that “thank you we’ve for it from here.” on top of ignoring social distancing rules, she wouldn’t leave so he and i had to leave that section of the store so she would walk away and we could look at thread in peace.we started wandering around the shop, as one does when they shop at a new LQS, we walked into a little classroom area. a woman popped out of an office to ask if we needed anything, and we explained we were just looking around and it was our first time in the shop. he and i kept walking and noticed a small iron on the ironing board they had set up. it’s a different brand than the one i have, but has the same design flaw (cord placement). i saw it and said (quietly, directly to my husband) that it looks like this iron has the same problem as mine and i’m glad i just upgraded. the woman who popped out of the office jumped in our conversation from ACROSS THE ROOM to tell me i should put the cord on the other side.we chose our thread and i picked up a pattern and then we went to check out. the older woman who helped us the first time was still standing near the register. i said that we were ready to check out and she said “okay i have to go get someone to check you out.” which is weird. it took her multiple minutes to walk into the back and grab someone to ring us up. it was long enough that we were wondering if we should just leave our stuff and go.our time in this shop was so so weird. so i thought i’d give them a little feedback about why it was so uncomfortable. why, you ask? because i myself own a small business and i would rather have a guest tell me that they had a weird experience and get feedback so i can see if i can fix the problem rather than just getting a nasty review online.we told the woman originally in the office (who was there to ring us up) that we had a weird time and we explained that we were uncomfortable. she asked why and we brought up the lurking and unwillingness to run the register. she brushes it off and then as the door to the shop opens, she says “oh here’s the owner now.”a maskless woman walks in. when she saw us standing there she asked if there was an issue. the woman behind the register IMMEDIATELY misconstrued our issues. before even letting us SPEAK the owner first berated us for being upset that the woman we first encountered couldn’t run the register, because she’s her 80-year-old mother. before we could get a word in, she broke into a rant about how it’s coronavirus and it’s hard for small businesses right now. she said that maybe we should shop at a bigger store. we explained that we were there to get omni thread, to which she said “you can buy that online”we were so frustrated. i got my card and receipt from the woman behind the register. i never worry about getting receipts but honestly i was afraid of getting double charged.the owner told us that we were no longer welcome in her shop, which wasn’t a loss. i turned around and flipped her off on my way out of the store. not wildly mature i know, but nor is hiring your mother who refuses to work the register.we were about halfway to our car, discussing how weird that whole thing was and how we were happy to he banned, when the owner then OPENED THE DOOR, stepped outside, and continued to yell at and berate us. so i flipped her off again and this time it didn’t feel immature.i gave feedback in person because that’s what i, as a small business owner, want from my guests. i don’t automatically dismiss their issues and follow them out into the parking lot to berate them.

This review is for Sewing Machine Service. I am super impressed with it! When I entered the store on Monday, I was greeted by a very friendly lady named Teah. (Not sure how to spell it.) They are a very Bernina favored store, but they will service just about any machine that comes in. I have a Pfaff Ambition 1.5, and service for it was $159.99. Their service guy is on site full time and they promise a 3 day turn around. I dropped it off on Monday, was told it would be ready for pick up on Thursday, and I received a call Wednesday morning from the service guy, Aaron himself that it was finished and ready for pick up! Aaron was very friendly, answered all my questions, and definitely knows sewing machines well from what I can tell. My machine came back to me much cleaner than when I had dropped it off too. I will definitely be bringing my machine back to this store for service as needed. Bring yours here too!
