CUSTOMER WARNING
Be sure to do your research prior to using this facility. There is an employee (female, Asian, 40-50) that is overcharging customers.
I have begun buying / selling Pokémon trading cards online. I haven't sold items via eBay in over 10 years, so I was trying to relearn the shipping process. My old post office was amazing, knowledgeable, and was willing to help with anything when needed. So I went to this post office thinking it would be the same.
First, the woman explained to me that shipping my greeting cards (with a Pokémon card in them) was "Too thick and non-machinable". I never heard of that concept and I fell for it. So she started selling me books of non-machinable stamps that I began using for all my shipments. Come to find out that I wasted all that money and overpaid for all of my shipping because they actually fit all of the requirements for a single forever stamp.
Second, I asked about sending envelopes with tracking information. Apparently, you can send an envelope and get tracking numbers relatively cheap these days. Though, this woman told me otherwise. She told me that the cheapest tracking information is $5+. Which is a lie.
Third (and most recently), I was shipping a couple orders to Puerto Rico. I read that it was still considered domestic shipping since it is in the US. I just wanted to verify that, so I asked the woman (the only one working at the time sadly). She told me that "it would be 2 or 3 forever stamps depending on what it is". I pulled the greeting card out and showed her. She grabbed it and said "mmhmm, yes, 2 forever stamps...but you miiiiight need 3 just in case. If you don't put enough, they'll send it back to you and you'll be right back here again". LIE. It takes 1 forever stamp. I researched it on my phone after walking away from her. It is 1 forever stamp up to 1 ounce and the item weighed 0.56 ounces.
Do your research or risk losing extra money to this woman! I'm honestly not sure why she is going out of her way to rip off customers. They aren't paid commission nor receive any type of bonus for how much mail / how many stamps go through their facility. Screwing people over cannot financially benefit her at all, yet she chooses to do it every day. That type of behavior is inexcusable and disgusting.

Not sure how many times now I have had to call up customer service to get them to ship it to the correct apt number for them to still process my package as a return to sender.

My items got delivered to someone's apartment complex rather than my house paracel box. How does that even happen? Ones a house address and ones an apartment. Also why does my package say my phone number on it? The person who received it in their box was able to contact me. It was good though because he told me he would put it in a return box. Now I have no idea if I will receive it ever. Item was expensive to and I have no idea if I can get a refund. Also not good that some stranger has a hold of my number and address from the package.

Update 4 years later:
Never answer their phones or will straight pick up and hang it back down. Impossible to get a hold of. Mailboxes vandalized and they can't even be contacted. Experience of high incompetence their delivery staff are incapable of properly forwarding mail, or reading names on mail. Frequently receive neighbors mail with a clearly different address. Also have had mail go missing between here and my mailbox, which indicates possible employee theft. Fun!

called them like 20 times and i’m not even exaggerating but they won’t pick up the phone. what’s the point of having a phone number when they won’t even pick up. horrible place and i’m not surprised by the low reviews.

Bellow the average post office service you expect for sure. I’ve been living in the area for almost four years; since almost one year ago I’ve been missing lots of mail pieces. I put a lock mailbox and still missing mail pieces (these appeared in the informed delivery emails in suscribed to). When it comes to packages, these have been delivered in a better way than letters and other envelopes. Now, about the office? I went there to drop off a return. Following the instructions by the original sender, the return was supposed to be send in the original package. I know they are the only postal service that doesn’t have a printer for customer use, so I printed my label at home. The part that really surprised me is their lack of professionalism… the lady said she was doing me a “favor” by giving me some tape… because tape was EXPENSIVE. I told her that in the Clackamas office they always tape the labels for me. Looked like she got upset when I said that and told me I could go there instead haha. She ended up selling me a roll of paper which I don’t mind… but if you’re gonna whine about tape, don’t keep two rolls on every desk.

Keeping doors locked so I can’t get to my mail. Only opened during hours I’m not available. How can they keep my mail like that when you pay for a box that I was available 24/7 when I opened it and paid for it

They literally are made by management to throw your packages even if marked fragile. They will fire any employee who trys to have the union help with anything that they are supposed to help with. And Kathy one in management needs to go back to school and learn how to properly write letters, lmao she works at a postal job and can't even write a professional email ? ?

This marks the third instance where the USPS driver delivered my package to the wrong mailbox. Every time I've approached the location for assistance, I've received no help. Their initial response is to check the mailbox and correct the error. It's disheartening that such mistakes persist when ensuring correct deliveries merely involves checking the address and placing the package in the rightful mailbox.
