This is the worst Toyota dealership service department. you get multiple stories, excuses and misinformation. They are incompetent and dishonest. They will schedule an appointment and after waiting for two hours they will tell you the person who performs this service doesnt work on that day... ever. why did you schedule this than? well, we can reschedule. no thanks jerks, i already took one morning off to deal with it. these people arent just incompetent but also rude,, unapologetic and inconsiderate. never use this dealership, they are horrible! i cant say it enough. They also prey on females, they ripped off my wife and charged her 214 dollars to turn off a check engine light when a gas attendant failed at properly replacing a gas cap. i am going to leave a negative review every week till they pack up and leave!

This is the most dishonest scummy dealership I've ever dealt with. Bought a car out of state from them and they promised, in writing, they would handle my out of state registration (which I paid them to do). After 3 months of calling them and texting the car salesperson who sold me the car (he never responded back) wondering where my plates and registration is, I finally talked to someone who is competent. No , they don't do out of state registration and now I must pay late fees for my registration that I paid them to handle. Not to mention, they let me drive off the lot with their plates on the car and gave me THIER registration. They have no idea what they are doing.

I received a letter about an airbag recall on my car, I called and made an appointment on 2/9. Before my appointment I called twice to see how long it would take. They told me someone would call back in 15 minutes but they never did. With no answer I showed up at my appointment time with someone who would be able drive me home. They looked confused and asked if I was sure I had an appointment. They looked me up by phone number, found me in their system, and said no one could look at my car today. This was my first time coming here, so I'm not sure how I would be in their system if I hadn't made an appointment. They told me they could get me scheduled and it would likely take them two days to fix my car. This wouldn't be so frustrating if I hadn't called to clarify these things twice, but I did. If I somehow really wasn't on the schedule I don't understand why that wasn't explained when I called. I don't recommend this location.

Zachary from Toyota service center was super helpful in helping me look up information for an old 2017 Toyota that i bought in 2024 but was serviced in Gresham Toyota throughout. Amazing and quick customer service. Highly recommend this dealership.

TL;DR - Take your vehicle anywhere else but here. If you must take your vehicle here, decline any and all "recommendations", "suggestions", and/or "proposals". And start looking for a brand of vehicle you prefer more than Toyota. The reason I am giving 2 stars instead of 1 is that they actually, accurately, did complete the service I had originally brought my vehicle in for (30,000 mile service). I took my 2020 Tacoma 4wd in at 9:30am for the factory 30,000 mile service at a cost of $700 dollars. That is a fair price and within the industry standard. I also asked them to repair the heater as it had recently quit working (fully aware that this would be an additional cost). 1. They charged me $199 to "diagnose" the heater problem, and then another $199 to fix it. (The fan housing had become dislodged and needed to be moved back in to place. No parts, just labor. How much labor? I don't know.) If the repair cost $200, $300, $400, or $500; so be it - I am not a mechanic obviously. My complaint is that they didn't need to "diagnose" it. I told them that it was broken and I wanted it fixed. 2a. I received a phone call from the service REP at 1:30pm stating that the TECH "recommended" (which I inferred as "not immediately required, but eventually will be necessary") that I have the Power Steering flushed and the "fuel injection and throttle body serviced" (I want to emphasize: "fuel injection and throttle body" were presented as a single service.) I thought this was strange because I never had any of those services performed on my three previous Tacomas (each of which I put over 100,000 miles on). But based on how and where I sometimes drive, and the fact that it has been 3 years since the last time a Certified Toyota Dealer had inspected my truck, I said "Let's get it taken care of." Power Steering: $180, Fuel Injection: $200, Throttle Body (which was originally presented as one-and-the-same as Fuel Injection): $112. 2b. On the invoice, the language was "Customer requests fluid exchange..." "Customer requests..." etc. I approved them, but I didn't "request" them. They were recommended to me (why exactly?), but I did not "request" them. My vehicle was ready at 4:00pm. When I picked it up the total was $1,617.88. Not a couple hundred over the estimate, but DOUBLE the original. I feel this was all a textbook "upsell". I was overcharged for the heater repair, the exigency and importance of the power steering and fuel injector (and throttle body) cleaning were misrepresented. Enjoy your extra $900 Swickard. I won't be on your lot ever again; for a purchase or service. After 28 years of owning Tacomas, the Nissan Frontier and Ford Ranger are looking like better options.

Gresham Toyota's Sales Staff are great, Service Staff not so much. In June of 2023, they added $154 oil change to our "FREE Intermediate Maintenance" that came with the purchase of our fleet vehicle. The oil change is NOT included in this service, and it was added without authorization from myself or the driver. This was brought to the manager Garrett's attention, as soon as we became aware of it, and we have yet to receive any form of compensation. Once we reach a proper resolution, I will edit my review to reflect that outcome.

I brought my car in for routine service oil change and tire rotation, when the tax checked me out after service she informed me that I was going to need a new serpentine belt, new brake drums and two new tires. I was already aware of the tires and had no intention of paying Gresham Toyota $700 for two tires for a subcompact car. The serpentine belt however had already been replaced and I questioned her on the serpentine belt and she replied that maybe it's not an oem part. I don't care what you say about OEM Park apart is built to specification for your vehicle especially when it comes to things like a serpentine belt so I'm certain a serpentine belt did not suddenly wear out just one month after I installed it. Also they said I needed the drum brakes and they wanted me to spend 441 for drum brakes on my car. I already declined and took my car to another mechanic to have it checked and found that there were no mechanical issues with my brakes whatsoever. It makes it hard to go to a place to have my car service to our supposed to know how to take care of my car and it seems like they really the only reason they're there for is try to upsell and add more unnecessary labor and parts in order to Garner more money from my bank account. I do not know how these people sleep at night but it looks like I'm going to have to find someone else's service my car.

I purchased a used Avalon earlier this year from a private party. I went to Gresham Toyota because the previous owner had serviced the car there. I spoke to the service advisor upfront about bad experiences that I had in the past with other dealer service departments who would recommend unnecessary services. I stressed the importance of that not happening again. They assured me they were not like that and would take care of me. I needed an oil change and key fob replacement. And I wanted to see the vehicle's past service records so we could avoid doing service that had been done before or too early based on manufacturer recommended intervals. I was shocked when they called me up and had over $2,800 in recommendations. One big recommendation was spark plugs at ~$1k. Fuel injection was another recommendation. And transmission service as well despite the previous records indicating that had been done at 60k miles. I questioned why the car would need spark plugs since it had only 84k miles on it. I asked point blank at what mileage does the manufacturer recommend spark plugs be replaced and the service person told me spark plugs should be replaced at 90k miles. I passed on the spark plugs. We continued to go through their other recommendations. In the end I spent $1,072 after accepting some recommendations. Beyond the fob replacement and oil change I agreed to other things (battery corrosion removal, back brake drum work, etc.). I regret doing any of their recommendations now and should have went somewhere else before agreeing to any work beyond the fob replacement and oil change. The following week I checked my car manual and it says one should replace spark plugs at 120k miles. I called gresham toyota again and got a different service tech on the phone and asked them for an Avalon of my type when is it recommended to replace spark plugs and was told 120k. So why were they recommending spark plugs on a car that had only 84k miles?!?!? Ultimately they were recommending ALOT of items well before their need/time to the tune of $2,800+. I need an honest mechanic I can trust. A mechanic that recommends only what needs to be done. A mechanic who ethically won't intentionally try to take advantage of customers. I will never return to Gresham Toyota --- for service or otherwise. They are clearly not honest or trustworthy. They would have gladly taken my $2,800 and done a lot of unnecessary services well before manufacturer recommendations. Who replaces spark plugs on a car that is single owner, was garaged, and had all regular service with only 84k miles ?!?

This parts department is fantastic! The guys go all in to help find the right part. My 25 year old Tacoma appreciates the help as well as me.

I called them today to ask if they had a hard to find part in stock. They didn't have it, but helped me find a place that did. I'm so appreciative, and Gresham Toyota will be the first place I call next time I'm looking for a part.
