I have been with Tax Minimizers for twelve years. The negative reviews irritated me. Likely exaggerations by people who wanted to pay less tax. I understand taxes well. They do it right, and I always check. I decided to use an accounting service when audited for three years straight, and prevailed. Think that you know stress? Try an audit, and they do happen.

I had a terrible experience. I was told that my bookkeeping and taxes would take 2 weeks. It's been a month and they haven't even looked at my books. When I called to ask for updates I was told that they would call me when they were done, or that no one was there to speak to me, at 2:30 pm on a Monday afternoon.

Dana with Tax Minimizers met with me on 3/28 and took my information and W2s. I let her know I needed my taxes done by April 15th. She said it would take her 2 weeks. She asked for my last years return and I emailed her that on 4/4.
It's 4/15. I called to see the status of my return. The person on the phone said they were waiting on paperwork from me. I said I emailed it 4/4 and they sent a confirmation email 4/5. The lady on the phone said that an extention was filed on my behalf.
I filed the taxes myself. I went in to their building to get my w2s and they are having me wait 2 hours in the lobby and won't let me have them. What is wrong with this company??? I can't wait 2 hours.
Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else. Or at least avoid this one tax preparer.
I'm so frustrated.

The experience I had with this company was far less than expected. They are not a real CPA firm. My mistake. I did meet with a very salesy CPA employee who gave me about 5 minutes and a quote. They subsequently never asked any qualifying questions about my business, explained any deduction options, no personal interactions, and they then overcharged. The staff was disorganized. Could have gone to any quickie preparer for this kind of service. Dissapointed. Will not use again.

Very happy with my service here. I have been using them for over a decade. Fantastic and friendly staff. Wonderful professionalism and exceptional attention to every detail. They always find a way to handle all my situations from taxes to payroll. Processed all my business taxes effortlessly, with expediency, and at a very reasonable rates. I have never spent $435 to get my taxes done. . I literally have one job. I have a house and I have two kids. I came up with the same numbers as they did in 10 minutes on turbo tax.but I also second-guess myself, and thought I would pay to have someone do it because I wasn’t confident in doing my own. I understand they’re running a business but dammm.

The staff is pleasant and my wife and I had no issues with the quality of work, but we do feel the price point is extremely steep. With nothing but our income amount changing year to year, these guys charged us almost 800 dollars. On top of that they let us know that we will be charged an additional 5 percent next year. The service is good if you choose to pay that amount, but we will not be returning.

This company and team of professionals are bar non the BEST in the Portland Tri County area and beyond.
