December 2023 by Guess Who
Wanted to sign up for membership, however computers were “down” and was unable to. Employee said this is a frequent occurrence. 0/10, better options nearby. I would also refer to Jason D’s review for an example of how you will be treated. Also note the language that the owner uses “unpleasant experience you MAY have had”, as if undermining your own understanding of your feelings you have felt. Unprofessional and unapologetic. UPTDATE* it’s been 3 weeks and no response from owner after responding within 24 hours to my initial review.

Clean gym, plenty of parking, reasonable price, typically only 1 machine down at any point of time, other members are respectful, staff seems friendly, and there's a good amount of benches. This is just for the past 9 months, since I've been going here, at least.I think in the owner's response to Jason D, "Unpleasant experience you may have had" the word *may* really doesn't sit well with me. General responses to negative reviews seem fair, with some room for improvement.I don't think the latter weighs heavily enough to bring the score down to a 4/5 though, on an otherwise 5/5 establishment.

Elijah is an amazing personal trainer at this gym. He taught me everything I know about strength, weightlifting, and how to optimize my workouts for gains in specific areas of my body. Amazing community and employees other than him as well. I 100% recommend taking lessons from Elijah and becoming a member at this gym no matter your experience, muscular build, or knowledge of exercise.

I wish I could rate it even lower. I’ve been going to the gym for a little over a year now. I’ve experienced some hostility from the male employees before, but today was the straw that broke the camels back.I had gone to the gym to workout and especially try and PR. I had done all my warm ups and lighter weights without a spotter; which led to me not using clips, for my own safety in case I couldn’t get the weight up (I have failed sets before by myself in this gym and no was there to help). When it came time to PR I went to go grab an employee to spot me, the gym has many warning for not lifting with a spotter. I went and grabbed the employee to spot me, and he started telling me how much he’s benched before (didn’t bother me, but it was weird), when I went for the PR I had forgotten to put on clips and I’m pretty sure the employee saw that but didn’t say anything. I went for my set and got stuck halfway through the ROM, the bar was uneven and one side slide about an inch. Then the spotter grabbed the bar unevenly and yanked it up cause the weight to almost slide off of the side. He helps me re-rack the weight and cursed at me. He started yelling and telling me how I almost killed the lady next to me, he did this a couple of times before lowering his voice just a little and telling me to use clips next time. He also proceeded to tell me that I’m done for the day, basically kicking me out of the gym. As I get up and apologize (I’m still in a daze of what just happened), he proceeds to tell me how he is now gonna go and hit the PR that I had just failed and for me to spot him while he does it. As he walks away he is talking to the other worker that had joined him in spotting me (don’t understand why both the employees on duty attended to me being spotted) how that weight is light.I have never been more humiliated and hurt for an interaction with an employee here before (I’ve had them ignore me before). My elbow is currently in pain, and I will be back tomorrow to cancel my membership and move to a better more friendly gym.P.S. I am 16 years of age and have this incident recorded on my phone with the consent of the employee that was spotting me

I’ve been a snap fitness member for 3+ years and never had problems until a rude bimbo named Rachel who works there meddled with my account and changed the terms of my contracts which raised my fee $15 WITHOUT my permission and with only two days notice. I called my home Snap location and they told me that this was indeed unusual and when I explained to them how Rachel handled it they were as surprised as I was, one even offered me the corporate phone number. She was so condescending about the fact that I was rightfully making a big deal about this sudden switch, and overall had a HUGE attitude and was as unprofessional as they come. My old, $25 contract was cancelled without notice so they could make this possible (again without telling me ANYTHING)! I’m not taking this any further than this review though, I simply cut the card my membership was tied to and found a new, closer, cheaper and cleaner gym. Also the Snap fitness location I signed my contract at assured me when I go back there they will get my my old price (25$) should I sign up with them again (I won’t). This place is shady, expect shady business practice should you be brave enough to sign up with them.

This place ticks all of the boxes for me. It’s clean, well maintained and has a community vibe. The management stays on top of things and the staff is helpful. The Nautilus gear feels like a step up from the LifeFitness stuff at the other place and the free weight setup allows plenty of room to work.A shout out to Jason for helping me get setup!

My membership was transferred from elements when they closed and I was really excited about the rig with the lifting platforms and they have a women's weightlifting bar, which is great! However, not so great if your workout time is between 730-830 during g the week Mon, Wed, Fri or weekends 9-10. The front gym area and rig are taken over by their HIIT class. I wouldn't have joined if I knew I was going to have to work out around a class.

Snap fitness in Gresham is a hidden gem. Very clean, showers, equipment is top-notch and the classes are great. Fitness instructors really care about their students. Management is responsive to any concerns that come up and they strive to improve the club. It is an amazing value for the basic membership.

Just moved across the street from this gym. Was really looking forward to swapping to a closer gym, but a keycard is required to get in. They have a buzzer for what I assume would be prospective customers, to ring the desk for an employee. After sitting there for 10 minutes ringing the button, it must just be for decoration. Guess I’ll try the Olympic Gym!
