We liked Mt. Hood at first, and really liked Dr. Alcott but she is no longer there. The receptionists were always great for us and their policy of getting a pet in within 2 days was appealing. In retrospect though, I think that policy has led to an overworked veterinary staff that has resulted in negligent care for our animals. Every time we needed bloodwork done (4x at least) we were told to bring our cats/dog in drugged up the next day because they weren't "being cooperative" in the back. We've been to at least half a dozen vets over the years (we move a lot for work) and literally no other vet has had this issue. So we've had to subject our animals to a 2nd unnecessary trip and pay the clinic fee twice now multiple times. It honestly just feels like a money grab thing at this point. Like, how can you not restrain an 18yo cat for a quick blood draw? Our new vet literally just did it without a problem. The final straw was when one of our cats had a bad infection in his club ear. We could see there was fluid pooling in his ear, the 1st vet at Mt. Hood could see there was fluid building in his ear. Yet when we brought him in the next day drugged up on gabapentin to drain the fluids cause he wasn't cooperating the day before ? (of course he wasn't, he was in pain! Put him in a kitty burrito for crying out loud) the 2nd vet said it was just scar tissue from his club ear and there was nothing to drain. Bc he was immediately taken into the back upon arrival we have no idea how much the vet even looked at him but clearly it wasn't very closely. Due to this negligence, our cat's ear was so infected by the next morning it burst and he had to go to urgent care (thank God for Sadie's). The vet at Sadie's confirmed that an infection that bad could not have shown up overnight. So ultimately our cat had to deal with 2 extra days of unnecessary pain and discomfort plus multiple stressful car trips. And we had to pay for an unnecessary 2nd visit to Mt. Hood, unnecessay drugs to sedate him, and a trip to urgent care. This is the kind of thing that happens when vet practices get bought out by mega corporations just looking to make money. The priority shifts from quality veterinary care to fitting in a many clients as possible to make money. And that is what it feels like is happening at Mt. Hood.

Mt Hood pet medical was professional and thoughtful. Dr. Lachey and tech were thorough and even sent valuable follow-up information regarding my pets condition. I will be returning there for my pet care.

Really happy I switched to Mt Hoof pet medical from another large vet in Gresham. They are responsive, always answer their phone, and I can get in for an appointment when my pet needs vet care. Great team of professionals!

We love the staff and appreciate all they do for so many of us. ❤️The only negative we have noticed is their pricing on products and services are a bit high.

I look forward to being able to be with the veterinarian during the visit. The phone visit was complete and beneficial to both cats and me. I think that my presence might have quelled Scooter's hissing behavior. But we are prepared for the future.

Amazing service! I brought my sick senior dog in because this was the only place I could get her seen same day. We unfortunately had to euthanize her. The staff were very loving and caring during this process. We had unlimited time to say goodbye to our dear sweet Harper. The end of life services were beautiful. The whole staff were amazing, from the front desk to when we picked up our urn. Thank you for helping us through one of the toughest times.

Employees are not treated properly and are overworked. Took my dog here and got short handed with everything due to being "understaffed" yet there is more then enough techs to get the job done. Management just can't handle the work load they take on.
