Cute spot. Free, so I would definitely say worth a visit. Though it’s a little small, but there weren’t a lot of people there so it wasn’t crowded.
Playground: Cute, versatile, and relatively clean.
Dog-friendliness: Lots of dogs on leashes! :)

A beautiful (yet small) Japanese Garden tucked in Gresham's park district. Quiet, stunning and peaceful. I enjoyed my visit and appreciate the level of care that has been put into maintaining this gem.
Open sunrise to sunset, Tsuru Island is the Gresham Japanese Garden's Japanese Garden inside Main City Park. After you visit there, if you walk to the south, the Gresham Japanese Garden maintains four more gardens; Kyoudou garden with a mural, Ebetsu Plaza, Ambleside Annex that has a community reader board with the GJG newsletter available, and the Hiroshima Peace Garden. GJG provides a place of culture, beauty and learning for all who enter. The Friends of Gresham Japanese Garden bear responsibility to the city of Gresham, to build upon the Japanese American legacy in the community. We foster sustainability through leadership, stewardship, education and volunteerism. The Kyoudou Center is at 219A S. Main Avenue
