Absolute Scammers.Their services are set up to extract hidden fees out of you.Owned by one of the biggest players that caused the 2008 collapse. (watch Madoff on Netflix to start to see the picture)Don't accept their CC offers. They will fleece you with hidden fees.Don't trust them with your hard-earned money. Find a credit union.

First all, don't bother calling. You're likely to pass away before someone answers the phone. I live in Texas and purchased an RV from a couple who lives in another Texas town. They, through the recommendation of Good Sam Club, had the RV financed at Bank of the West. The sellers, after a very long hold time on the phone, were finally able to obtain a pay-off figure from the Bank for their RV which was greater than what I was paying so they still had a balance to payoff. I tried numerous times to contact the bank to find out exactly what forms they needed when we both sent our checks to the bank to payoff the loan. I was never able to get through. So after signing all of the papers based on instructions I received from the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles, I sent the checks, Bill of Sale, and all supporting documentation to the Bank's Loan Department in Ogden, Utah. I sent the documents via FedEx along with a prepaid return FedEx envelope to the title would be returned to me. That package was received by the bank on September 1st, the loan was not paid off until September 9th (extra interest for the Bank), and with a letter from me and authorized by the sellers requesting that the title with lien released be returned to me. Well, the title was returned to the seller, not me, who received it on September 29th (20-days after payoff). So now, we have to arrange for the title to be mailed to me which delays the title transfer process further and also risks losing the title in the mail. Very poor service but it is apparent that Bank of the West simply does not care.

If you enjoy having your money taken from you without warning or explanation on a constant basis then this your bank. Bank of the West is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with and it baffles me how they haven't been sued into the ground. If you want a good bank then open an account at CHASE BANK. They are much better than this horrible excuse for a bank.

No notice that the checking accounts we have were going to be changed to minimum deposit. Fees hitting the accounts and can't get anyone to call me back. Turnover of staff and management over the years has been quite consistent. Management not in, no calls back....not good small banking experience. Also have commercial loans there and that department is not good to deal with - frequently do not know what they are doing and misapply payments.

Not surprised at the current reviews, Helen the teller is awful, unhelpful and condescending. I'm certainly glad I don't normally bank at this branch. I have to say the manager did try to be helpful unfortunately Helens behavior made his intervention useless. If you have a choice go somewhere else.

Poor customer service, when my wife made our first check deposit, she was informed the funds would be held for 9 days because it was a new account. Now they are holding our second check deposit for 9 days.

Robin, my banker was very helpful and extremely compationate towards others. He was very professional and respectful!
