We've generally had a positive experience through this Banfield Pet Hospital but this last experience has us reconsidering bring our Dog here because of appointment mismanagement and poor communication. We had scheduled a tetanus shot for our dog on Sunday at 3:30pm and was informed there was an earlier slot that became available on Thursday, could we make it in? We informed them that we couldn't make it in last minute after we had taken about 10 minutes off the phone to consider if we could take our dog in so we'd come in for our original appointment time of Sunday at 3:30pm but to our surprise... we received a message that our appointment had been rescheduled to next Thursday without prior approval. When we had called them, they acknowledged that they were not sure why the person had rescheduled without our approval or communication so the best they could do is put us on a waitlist. Come Sunday, we get a call that something had opened up and the Vet will be able to get our Dog in for the tetanus shot. Great, we'll be there in 20 minutes... and when we arrived at this location we were informed... "Sorry, ya'll came too late"What a frustrating experience. We expected at least a transparent line of communication and professionalism especially from long time Wellness plan subscribers. This experience is a word of caution as we are considering alternative options.

I was able to set an appointment right away and explain to the team members about my dogs aggressive behavior. When I arrived the staff was ready. There was no waiting out in the lobby. We were put in the room right away . Everything was ready to go from the vaccine .to the extra help needed. to get the necessary blood drawn . The staff was great in the handling procedures of my pet. They listened to me on what was the best approach for my pet. We were able to get everything done very quickly . Which is less stress for my dog. We started my GSD on the new Librela medication for hip dysplasia. It is working very well. My dog seems more like her old self wanting to go outside and even playing fetch. I'am very happy.

I am appalled by what I witnessed at the banfield in petsmart in Gresham what an ugly display of nastiness“Jennine” who is suppose to be professional who is on the frontline for her employer choose the yell and scream and call someone in the store names how childish. The told person to “bite me” called him “ short and fat” does she enjoy degrading people being a bully and allowing children in the store to think this is how you treat people? She continued to egg on the confrontation even when the other person tried to leave she kept saying things to bring more chaos obviously she has regard for herself or her employer. If you are working with the public there is never an excuse for this. I would discourage anyone to allow their pet to be any where near this person or company that would allow a person like this to continue to be in their employ, unbelievable

The women who was working front counter doesn’t seem to know how to be respectful to people, she was acting like an animal yelling at a customer calling him names I don’t believe this is the image your company wants this to be the person the face of your company. Obviously she does not value her job and should not be employed byAny place that she has to work around the publicHer name is Jeanine what a horrible spectacle she created

My dog had serious medical issues that Banfield said wasn't important, but instead, kept pushing me to have teeth pulled, instead of focusing on the real medical issues. At a few hundred a pop, to generate revenue without doing anything.

Usually our rate would be 5 stars. I work graveyard, I stayed up til 3pm got no call so I took a nap. My son woke me up telling me they called and said our dog has been waiting for us. I looked at my phone and the call was at 5:17, my son woke me at 5:25. I never got any call saying she was ready til they called and talked to my son. They over charged us for after hours and overnight when they didn't even call anytime saying she was ready. And when I got a link to leave a review it wouldn't let me the page to select a language was the only page it stayed on and then it said I completed the review, when I didn't.

I was looking for literature on how to get feral cats help and they had nothing no organizations or nothing they could even name for me found that rather disappointing considering it's a veterinarian place you would think they'd have all kinds of literature on how to help animals of all types

We had to put our 15 year old pup down this week and the compassion and care they showed my daughter and me went above my expectations. They took a tragic moment and made it bearable. I can't thank Gresham Banfield enough for the care our beloved pup received.

I used this vet clinic for several years. Recently I switched to a vet outside of Banfield. The last bloodwork that was done on my cat was back in November at Banfield and the vet told us everything looked fine. With choosing a new vet we had them run a full blood panel. The vet told us that our cat is showing signs of kidney disease or a possible auto immune disorder and said that his blood work from the past several years shows elevated levels that should have been of concern for a cat under 5 and addressed by our previous vet. Do not take your pets to Banfield if you care about their health and well being. The health issues with my cat should have been addressed several years ago if not back in November.

This clinic is way too busy, understaffed, and poorly managed. I have a 14 year old chihuahua who hates being at the vet. He got sick during the night Friday (sounded like a cold: congested breathing and sneezing). I called Banfield Saturday morning and they could not get me in until Monday. They said if I felt it was an emergency I should take him to an emergency vet. They said my appointment on Monday would be a drop-off at 8:15am. By the time it was noon I hadn't heard anything so I called and the practice manager answered. She said their vet had been in surgeries all morning and hadn't even started to look at any of the drop off appointments. She said the vet would get to my dog when he could. I wasn't happy about that because I know how much my dog hates being at the vet but there was nothing I could do. Two hours later I still hadn't heard anything so I called again and insisted on speaking to the manager about my concerns about not being told that a drop off appointment meant my stressed out, sick, elderly dog could literally be there all day, and that if I had known that, I wouldn't have opted for a drop off appointment. She was defensive and basically said they had higher priorities (sicker animals) and that if I didn't like it they'd put a note on my file not to offer me drop off appointments anymore. I asked when I could come pick him up. She told me 3:30. I arrived at 3:30 and the receptionist called the animal care staff in the back and let them know I was there to pick him up. Twenty minutes later and nothing. The receptionist looked at me and said "He's still not out? It's been over 20 minutes hasn't it? I know they heard me." I asked that she check in with the staff in the back again. She had her coworker go back and ask. She nervously told me "He's an assistant so they don't get mad at him. They get mad at me when I go back there and ask." Good grief, Banfield. The practice manager, who I spoke to on the phone earlier, brought my dog out and said that she guessed there was confusion in the back about which dog's owner was here to pick up their dog. She was completely unapologetic.I've had my dogs go to various Banfield clinics for 20 years. I just recently moved to the area and my experience with the Gresham Banfield clinic was so poor that I'm canceling my dog's plan and switching to a different vet. It feels like Banfield is cramming as many animals in on a day as they can, assumedly because more pets means more $, they have one harried vet that's trying to see them all, and poor communication amongst their staff, not to mention poor customer service
