I had replaced the carb and intake on my '69 Chevelle, but just couldn't get it to run right. Bill seemed to have an idea on the issues right away, and had the car running right the very next day. It is such a blast to drive now. Thanks Bill!

Feel scammed, payed $150 to check 2002 standard transmission only to be told can't do anything and it would be three weeks to get in, so I feel warranted on writing this because I don't like doing this unless really bad, so what do you think.

Paid 537 dollars for a new battery and an oil change for a 2010 jetta. The battery turned out to be a cheap battery that I was charged 281 dollars for. It was done the next day. I won't go back.

I don’t recommend coming to this shop. The owner left a bad taste in my mouth instantly when I tried to give him bits of information to describe the problem with my vehicle he very arrogantly would interrupt and tell me it’s a can of worms that would cost me thousands and that he’s been in the business for 30 years so he doesn’t guess he fixes. Mind you I barely got a chance to get a word in. I trusted him anyways. They kept my vehicle for 24 hours at no point was there transparency in the work that was done or how much it would cost. The next day I was told to pick it up and it was as good as new. When I asked what the problem was the owner said “ A little bit of this, a little bit of that” and would not specify any more. Instead of diagnosing the problem they just went ahead and gave me a tune up for 630$ that didn’t do anything to help. They claimed to drive the vehicle extensively and assured me the problem is fixed however the mileage going in was the same going out. Essentially the tech did some work that didn’t need to be done instead of taking the time to diagnose the problem. I’ve been back twice and the owner told be that what’s going on with the vehicle is normal and not to worry, or try putting premium gas in it. More than 600 dollars down the drain isn’t fun. I’m not a mechanic but from a customers perspective it was an all around terrible transaction of services.

Honestly, I never write negative reviews and I'm hesitant to even do this because it seems that the owner is particularly aggressive in arguing with people on here, but oh well. I took my car in to check on an engine light issue. After having the car for about 2 hours, I got a call saying that they cleared the code and "make sure that the turbo boost wasn't stuck" and that I was good to go. I was charged about $200 for this, which I didn't think much of at the time given that I'll be the first to admit that I'm not an auto repair expert. 2 days later, the engine light comes back on as I'm on my way to work, so I take my car to a different place near my office. I showed them my receipt from Auto Repair Specialties and they were horrified, stating that they clearly charged me to do nothing at all. It turns out that my entire turbo is shot, something that they would've seen had they done any basic inspection. I get that my car is screwed and would have been regardless and I don't blame Auto Repair Specialties for that, but it would've been nice to not have to have paid $200 for literally nothing other than them clearing the code.

Called to get a rough estimate on a repair. The guy on the phone said he couldn’t give me one because he couldn’t find the cost of the part. He ended the phone conversation with “Can’t help ya” and immediately hung up. I was very polite and understanding that he might not be able to get me something immediately but at least offer to call back with something or offer to look into it. Definitely not using them if this is the type of customer service they have.

As a car owner, I've had my share of issues that needed a mechanic. While some places have inflated issues, others have inflated their prices, at this place they did neither. When I need someone to work on my vehicle again, I'll be taking it here.

A little pricey but worth it. Good communication for the most part. Excellent vehicle inspections with pictures and accurate descriptions. Fast turnaround times unless you are stuck waiting on parts.
