not a customer....I was wanting to get a question answered BEFORE opening an account. The question: "How do you treat joint accounts? Meaning are both people treated the same? as in do both have equal powers and access on the account" as odd as that sounds needing to ask that, I have found with some banks that only 1 person actually has full control. Anyway....after over a week, no response (I had emailed them as I could not get anybody to answer the phone) I sent another email telling them i've been waiting over a week and nothing. I finally get a response telling me that they cannot give me account details over email. OBVIOSULY not only do they not know how to answer emails, they don't know how to read and understand what was read. Hopefully they do better at counting money. Anyway, I found another bank that does provide equal ownership(and only took 1 day to answer) so I will be taking my business there. (edited for spelling)

This bank has gone down hill significantly in their customer service since a recent merger. They have deleted an account without telling me, transferring $1000s to a debit account. Accounts will randomly quit showing up on my phone and I need to call (with a 20 minute wait) and ask someone to "refresh" the account so I can get to my own money. It's become about some illusion of corporate efficiency rather than the customer. I'm done and going to look for a local credit union.

They charge a $8 fee to cash your check if you don't have an account.

The worst bank in southern Oregon! If you are moving to Oregon and you are looking for a bank do NOT trust Umpqua with your hard-earned money!

Autumn at Umpqua in Grants Pass is the absolute best. She is professional, kind and is always helpful when we need something. As a small business owner, it is important to be able to rely on your banker. Autumn Violette is that person for us.

Watch yourself! Umpqua Bank will allow ANYONE to open a checking account in YOUR name online! When you start getting notices in the mail, then you call them, they first wont give you any info regarding the account, then you call again and finally someone claims to close the account. NOT! Then, you drive over to their local branch and close it AGAIN by showing all your identification, only to still get in the mail 2 weeks later ANOTHER bank statement! This bank is a joke! Stay clear and don't trust YOUR money with these people! They don't care when someone has an identity theft!
