My experience at Storwell was a combination of grave misfortune and frustrating circumstance, and had it not been for Charmaine and her other team members' professionalism, compassion and humanity, I might have had a breakdown.
To make a long story short, I rented the empty unit next to my large, full unit, so I could do some reorganizing of my vast backstock of gems, minerals and jewelry, as I once had a shop in Florida. I hadnt been in there for over a year, as my son died last summer and I have been in daily mourning. He shared my love of gems and it was just too hard to go through inventory we had sought out together.
But after a year, I rented Unit 31, and got the correct new combo for 32, and I looked forward to getting in there and reveling in some happy memories finally.
Yet when I threw open the roll-up door, an absolute nightmare greeted me. The space was completely ransacked and most everything of value was stolen, from spools of beading thread to gemstone rubies and sapphires and rare gems and mineral specimens, gold and sterling findings and components, and tools for working with all the above. Shelving was torn from the walls, merchandise was ejected from its retail organizers and packaging, which was unceremoniously destroyed when they took the contents as their pillage. Of course I had some personal effects in there too, and I was distraught to find my children's baby pictures scattered throughout the wreckage, and my Bible and those pictures had come to rest in proximity to dangerous drug paraphernalia. It was gut-wrenching.
We had built out the space and equipped it with a nice loft where I had placed countless containers that held a vast assortment of Swarovski crystals and Miyuki seed beads. I havent climbed up there yet, as they tore out the access, but it appears a small section up there was not tampered with. I cant wait to get up there and see if anything can be salvaged. Because everything else has been destroyed, defiled or stolen away in the most violent fashion. I have no way of knowing when it even occurred because I had not been in there in so long.
Charmaine had to contend with me in real time as I was discovering the intrusion. I was very emotional, but she was calm and reassuring and told me she could assist me with the insurance claim, should I choose to file one. She told me they could review security tapes and possibly even nail down a culprit.
There's more to this story, but Ive gone on too long. The important thing to take away is that a situation that could have gone sideways any number of ways, did not, and that's is purely because of Charmaine's natural instinct for problem solving in an emotionally charged situation. She was kind. She was pleasant. She was compassionate. But she was also diligent and professional and got the job done. And I deeply appreciate that.

Easiest rental ever! We needed a unit last minute and was able to get everything done with a simple phone call. Excellent customer service every time and would definitely rent from Storwell again.

It was not mentioned to me what the numbers and letters mean. (Example 123-M)
After serching for 15 minutes, i found the correct building number
upon entering the building, I was immediately met with a oder of cat urine..
While in the building, I was not able to identify my locker due to lockers not having any labels apart from two out of five having tape fixated above them..
Once guessing my locker and getting it open, it was clean, and I was able to move stuff in..

Storage units in the heart of Grants Pass which are safe, secure, and easily accessible. I've used them almost steadily since 1994 with extreme satisfaction, and the new owners are now making everything even easier, and much more secure!

The place is owned by a kind and understanding lady however our storage unit was infested with rats and we had to throw away a bunch of stuff because it was ruined. Until the problem is taken care of I would not recommend this storage.
