One year ago today I took my Suffolk Punch part Draft Horse into Southside equine for the earliest emergency appt. My horse had all the symptoms of PHF, we asked him to test for it and repeatedly said he could have Potomac Horse Fever! He focused on my horses teeth and said he was going to pull all his front teeth on Friday Aug.12, 2022. He would not test for it or take our opinion in consideration and while my horse was under his careAug.10-12th I was told he was going to check on my horse after Dr. Bradley was done with field work on the 11th his assistant said before he closed at 5pm. I was with my horse 6pm-11pm (11th) nobody showed then I showed up at 7:30am on the 12th my horse was kicking at his stomach I called him for an emergency and no answer I left a message they started showing up 8:05am I asked Dr. Bradley if I should go to a Rogue or OSU because he wasn't getting the help there. Dr. Bradley Yelled at me telling me he only had 10mins to spend with his family and he needed time to look at my horse. Cruiser was the Love of my Life. I wish he would have listened to my mother and I from day 1 or day 2 .I could still have had my heart horse. We left at noon on the 12th to go to OSU and I spent 10k trying to save my horse he died Aug.19,2022 from the Potomac Horse Fever and Laminitis for not being treated Correctly....Here is some education You have to treat PHF within 3 days with Oxytetracycline in a drop saline bag. It turns into Laminitis which they can get better from but untreated in a timely manner if the horse rotates it's fatal. When you become a veterinarian or doctor your family should know what the work is. It's about saving lives and being Compassionate.I personally think Dr. Bradley should only practice in dental work. That seems to be what he specializes in.I wish Rogue was available or I would have gone there first.

If a 360 vet bill keeps you coming for a emergency then your in it for the money not the animal. Ps try to call an pay bill but no answer hard to get squared if no one will answer not a very good vet. Plus the more I read these vets that work here are all about the money an could care less for the animals really poor vets

Dr. Bradley was so compassionate when my friend had to put down her horse of 31 years. I called to become a client and the person that answered the phone was very rude and stated they aren't taking new clients after I asked about his experience with miniatures and dyscotia.

Been using Southside for a number of years, it's a good place with great people and great veterinarians.

I could clearly tell that the receptionist did not care about my horse or her circumstances. Sad that non caring people work with the public.

I love the staff and the veterinarians there so kind and humane. They will come out no matter how late for emergency calls if you have to have an animal put to sleep their wonderful. We recently lost an animal and they were so gracious and kind so glad we found them

ETA: I got a phone call this morning from Dr. Bradley. He was very apologetic about the mix up and went above and beyond to make the situation right, which included getting me back on the schedule quickly for a PPE and reimbursing the fee I paid to have the horse hauled to the clinic. I appreciate the effort to make the situation right. I will write an updated review after the appointment.Had a pre purchase exam scheduled for 8/3 at 1pm. Made the appointment a week in advance and called 30 minutes before the appointment to let them know we had trailer hook up issues and would be running 10-15 minutes behind. They said it was no problem as they were behind schedule as well. When we arrived they told us we were not on the schedule at all and they couldn’t do a PPE today. They wasted my time, the sellers time, and the cost I paid to have the horse hauled to the clinic. A disappointing experience to say the least.

I have been going to South Side Equine Clinic for over 15 years....and have always valued them until today...I called to get a renewal precription on Allergy medication for my horse...they said they needed to see him because it had been a year sense the last visit...I said no it has not and that is not neeeded anyway he is fine.it is over $200 for a visit ....just need a precription renewed..then the staff lady said ok we can do a video chat..for $50....my wireless where I live is very spotty...I said i would have to think about that and I feel this is Highway robbery for some Allergy pills! Then I hung up frustrated with their attitude and greed for money...then I get a letter saying they are dropping me as a client...classy guys,,very classy! WHEN DID MONEY BECOME MORE IMPORTANT??I FOUND IT ON LINE ANYWAY...very sad to see this behavior...

I want to share how thankful we are to South Side Equine, our relationship started in 2017. I knew little to nothing about having horses. They have always been there with kindness with my questions. I’m grateful for the quick response to my recent after hours call when my mare had a terrible allergic reaction to something and again 2 nights later with another after hours question.

Dr. Swartz was fantastic! We are attempting to breed our precious older maiden mare, and Dr. Swartz was professional and very encouraging. South Side's support staff was equally as attentive and professional. We we look forward to working with them in the future.

Took my mare in to be treated for Laminitis. First class examination process, overly courteous personnel and a willingness to help my horse through her disease. Given excellent advice on feeding and care. Very heartfelt facility. Very reasonable prices ?

My horse has seen both vets here and I will only recommend Dr. Bradley. Dr. Mary Schwartz came out to look at my horse for a skin condition and weight loss issue he was having. She was very dismissive concerning his skin issue, didn't give me a direct diagnosis although I asked multiple times, just basically said 'dont worry about it, it'll go away'. When I called back a few weeks later to let them know it had gotten worse, they said that I'd have to pay for a full re examination. Not worth what I paid.
