I arrived 10 minutes before closing, and immediately found the perfect fabric! The salesperson was relaxed and friendly and didn't seem to mind that I kept her from closing the shop on time. I wish I'd had more time to look around, but we were just passing through town.

Plaza is quilter and crafter heaven. They have an assortment of aids not available in big box stores. Excellent service too.

It's a home town sewing center. They have a good selection of sewing items. I like the ladies who work there.I use the vacuum fixit shop that's in there too.I enjoy the walking through Red Canary Emporium.All reside in the Golden Rule Building.

I'm in total agreement with Mary. The guy in back who repairs vacuums is rude and hateful! About 6 months ago my puppy chewed the foam filter to my shark rocket so I called to see if they had the part. He was so hateful about Shark and "the filters are all different, hard to know which one etc." I gave him model# and he said he had one that matched. When I went in to pick it up he continued his rant on Shark products. I brought the filter home and it wasn't exactly the correct size I had to trim it down. Then the other day I thought I'd try again because the hose in the beater bar (of the Shark ) cracked and I ordered the part on Amazon, but was having difficulty putting it into one side. So I called to see if he could put the new hose on. The sewing gal said he wasn't there and usually tells them when he leaves. (It was 3:30ish) she asked what I needed, I told her and gave her my#. She called back about 30 minutes later and said he said, he doesn't work on Shark vacuums because he can never get parts and the company is hard to deal with and that I should call the company myself for help! I had the part! Just needed help putting it on! I will NEVER contact or do business with him again! I guess I'll have to go to Medford. Can't find anyone else in GP for vacuum repair. Sad. The ladies in the sewing department are very nice however.

The fabric store is wonderful. The ladies in the fabric store are wonderful. The old man who does the machine repairs... Not so great. He is mean, rude, hateful. Vile. I asked him for a bobbin holder for 301. Mine was gone. He said he had one, 70 dollars. . I told him I ordered one online. It made a clicking sound when I used it. He said it wasn't the bobbin holder. There was something very wrong with the machine. I explained to him the sound only happened when the new bobbin case was in. He told me I was not a sewing machine repairman didn't know what I was doing, I was stressing him. I went to another location, got a bobbin case, put it into the machine. This one worked fine. It was the bobbin case. . Won't go back. Not even for fabric part. The dog is scary too.Thank goodness for online. That's where I will get my sewing machine parts. Don't want to support mean people.
