The young ladies I talked to were super cool with me when my lil Dozer got locked up ?at only six months old? even worked with me to getting the outlaw out on a lower bail. ?They must of taken really good care of him because he acted like he wanted to stay till he got home and realized he was back on his turf then he was back to his his self before doing about 50 victory laps around the yard? A big thank you JCAS for make sure we were back together quick??

I wouldn't even rate this at all but it does not allow me to do so. Today I found a dog wandering near Baker park along a busy highway. Trying to prevent the dog from getting ran over I pulled over and got this dog in my car. Dog clearly old and mistreated. I had no choice but to take her to the pound. I was treated like an absolute criminal as if I were dumping this dog off. They treated me horribly.. Absolutely the most horrifying experience of my life today. They even called my landlord to verify if this was my dog. I went out of my way to save this poor dog knowing they will probably just put her down and yeah it was extremely emotional for me and to be treated the way I was.. unbelievable! I was asked why I was emotional.. seriously?

They have same thing against biracial families here. I go see a dog and they made all kinds of excuses to not let me adopt a dog. my children where with me and they like the dog they thought we were bringing it home since I got along with my other dog and I had the money and every thing. My children cried and cried all the way back home because they wanted to the dog.

Say what u want about this shelter but it's a joke I'm a marine veteran tried to adopt kobe a husky for our other huskey to play with so I get there my dog is getting along with kobe but when I mentioned my dog stays outside under our shaded car port we even have a pool for them and property to roam it became a problem because supposedly he was an indoor family dog so that worried them for him to be outside with another husky however the handler said they found him as a stray and then found the owner but then he apparently he isn't house broken they said so I'm like ok I got to build a doggie door but we want him the lady said we'll once u get settled call back so I got the doggie door built so he could come in the house bought a dog bed for him called them back and then they said they adopted him to somone else not only am I a veteran but a buissness owner they wasted my time and money they said the dog had been there for a year or 2 at that facility like u have a chance to adopt him right then idk coulda been that I had a mixed family maybe they don't like that there regardless we will get frome a different place but placing this review to warn others of what to possibly expect frome this place it's a joke full of excuses to not adopt to certain people

Welp! Just called to ask about volunteering my time walking their dogs with my extremely friendly dog... SUPER rude lady answered like she was offended by my question... REALLY glad your staff cares about the animals there! How incredibly disappointing... the animals deserve better.

There are many cats and dogs who need a good , loving home. I volunteer there and the people who work there are kind, AMAZING, helpful and love to see the animals get good homes! They are also always willing to answer any questions you have!

My dog wedged himself out of my sliding van door. Walmart patrol called "a friend" who obviously is an insider to take my dog to the shelter. Dogs are only accepted there by appt & she had no problem taking him to LEAVE him while I was searching for him. They are now holding my dog wanting a $45 impound fee even though animal control did not pick him up. He hasn't been there more than 12 hours but they demand a $45 fee AND I have to make an appt!! Very unprofessional & NO empathy whatsoever to this 71 year old lady!!

I did not find this shelter very welcoming. The staff was very dismissive and stabdoff-ish. We were unable to visit the dog we were interested in. When talking to them, they fished for reasons to not let us view the ones we were interested in. Some shelters are just this way, we took our kids else where... such a shame.

I called several times to make a appointment to meet one of dogs on the website. Never got a call back so I drove out there. The young woman was rude. When I asked about the dog she stated that the dog was in the middle of a greet, which I understand. I told her I had left several messages. She stated well I've been running around here trying to do everything. I felt very unwelcome. I would have thought since I was there she might have number 1 apologized for not returning my calls which were over a course of a couple days. Number 2 encouraged me to look at other dogs. I felt like she didn't want to be bothered. I left. Guess I'll go to Medford to hopefully be more welcomed. A note to this young lady. Jobs can get stressful and busy but if you care about what you are doing you provide good customer service. Hopefully she will get some additional training from her supervisor.
