Okay so I just wanted to see what Gianelli's sandwiches were all about. I'm a very very picky person when it comes to two sandwiches. The Cheesesteak and the meatball. My wife got the Reuben and she said it was great I however did not try it. So let's start with the cheesesteak. The Cheesesteak at Gianelli's could not be closer to Pat's or Geno's in Philly. I grew up on their Philly cheesesteaks. And here we are in Grants Pass Oregon at Gianelli's and this is the best cheesesteak I have come across outside of Philadelphia. I will be ordering from there anytime I want a cheesesteak. The other two places that I regularly get my cheesesteaks from are good but they do not come close to Gianelli's. So I give their Cheesesteak 10 stars all the way. Now let's move right on over to the meatball. The meatball sandwich at Gianelli's is very very good. Better than any other meatball sandwich I have had in Oregon. So yes, I will be ordering my two favorite sandwiches from this restaurant all the time. As far as price goes? 13.50 per sandwich and I do not believe that price is any more than the other two places that I normally get sandwiches. So all in all if you like a good cheese steak and a good meatball sandwich then I recommend you go to Gianelli's you're not going to find better anywhere else trust me when I say that! I can't say anything about the atmosphere of this place because I've never eaten inside. But I can say this, whoever took my order over the phone was great. She was friendly, she was funny and she laughed at my dumb jokes. My wife and I will stop and have dinner there soon. Thank you Gianelli's and we will see you again soon. And just so you know this is Winchester! LOL

It makes me sad to say this but this place used to be so good! I always get the same thing and have never complained and the last 3 times I’ve gotten it it’s been pretty bad. I always get the siscillian sandwich and normally the bread is crispy which is good because of the vinaigrette that is put on it but lately it’s been such a soggy nasty mess and it makes me gag. And the homemade chips on the side were still parcially soft and not at all crunchy. Tasted like they were staged and not fresh ? also it’s horrible that I couldn’t get my son anything from the kids menu to go! We came in to take it home and I had to pay $20 for some pasta and meat sauce that literally tasted like what I make at home and it came with Texas toast. The noodles were definitely not home made, adult portion is tiny too.

Worst Italian food I’ve ever been served before. The lasagna was recommended, and it was watery slop. The noodles were not even lasagna noodles it was like beef and cheese and wet soggy noodles with burnt garlic bread. Gross. And somehow it was $20 a serving.

I can't understand how a place like this has such a high rating, even in Grants Pass. Maybe I'm judging them harshly because they call themselves A Taste of Italy but haven't done anything beyond painting the colors of the Italian flag on their walls. Probably not.The food wasn't horrible, it was a little better than some random rest stop chain, but it definitely didn't satisfy me. I should have known when I walked in there at dinner time on a Thursday and they didn't have a single customer. I knew for sure when I saw that my $14 sandwich was the size of my hand. It didn't taste bad, but it was the tiniest sandwich I've bought from an Italian place. My friend's even-more-expensive pasta was the same size, like maybe 75 cents worth of noodles. The people in the establishment were nice and the food was ready on time, but I probably won't be going back.

This restaurant has many wonderful things to enjoy for its size. First of all, the service is top tier. We really enjoyed their Spinach & Artichoke dip as the appetizer. They provide a lot of bread on the side that was fresh and yummy. Their main dishes are a good portion (not too much or too little). The food overall tastes fresh and delicious. We were there to celebrate my wife's birthday and they did not disappoint. A lovely slice of Tiramisu (Sooo Good) with a candle on top. We all sang happy birthday and it was a great time with good food and family.

This place was tasty and super friendly made us feel so comfortable with our little family. We have 3 kids so sometimes it’s scary or hard to go out to a restaurant but the waitress kept coming by our table interacting with our children to make us feel comfortable. Definitely Recommend very family friendly!

I love the authentic atmosphere and the quaintness. Our servers are always on top of it. The food has always been good. 5 trips here now and tried a variety of food. Salad was fresh and the pizza was good so was the meatball sandwich and the lasagna. We will be back :)
