Beautiful place and furniture.I was asked if I needed help. I was just looking for couch and chair and they let me do it on my own. Lots of my measuring and sitting. Taking pictures. I have two mind. Sale was on and one chair was in the sale. The couch was reasonably priced. I have a small place and there were lots of big furniture. But the experience was nice

My wife and I are long time customers of Gates Home Furnishings, in Grants Pass, we purchased a Stanton recliner in May of 2021 one of their big selling points is that Stanton is made in Oregon, One of the main reasons I purchased that recliner, after the delivery date was changed two more times I asked what the holdup was, I was told it was stuck on a ship off the coast of Cali, I said I thought Stanton was made in Oregon, was told, well the leather comes from overseas, after two more times of the delivery date being changed i was finally able to pick it up, on Dec 7th still in the box ( MADE IN VIETNAM!! ) right on the box. Have had it less than a month and it is broken, called to talk to my sales rep, said she was busy but leave a message and she will call me back, has been two days still no call back, NOT happy with Gates.

We bought a massage recliner chair about a year and a half ago. The remote on it broke and when I called Gates to have it repaired I was very happy with how fast the service was. They ordered the part within a few days of my initial call and came to replace it within a day of the part arriving. I will definitely shop here in the future again.

Not a fan. 10/30/2021 Around 1030 am my wife called around Grants Pass Looking for a twin XL mattress. But when she called Gates (on speaker phone) this lady answered an could not have been any less helpful. She was vague and would not answer questions directly. When my wife asked if she could talk to someone who could check to see if they had any in stock. The lady said that was her. Yet we still don't know if they have any of these special mattresses. She reminded me of a used car salesman trying to get you on their lot.

My wife and I purchased a new bed from Gates. After a few weeks, we noticed that there was considerate amount of dipping/sagging on both sides of the mattress. We went back into the store and arranged to have them replace it with another one since it was under warranty. The sales associate helped us get the matter resolved. While we were there, we decided to look at a dresser. We asked the sales person some questions about the one we wanted and we were specifically told that it came with a mirror after asking if it was included. We agreed to purchase the dresser based on the information she had told us, expecting the $1600 dresser to come with the mirror. On the morning that they delivered the dresser, there was no mirror. I asked the delivery crew about it and they said to call the show room/office. I called and spoke with a manager named Ben and he told me that the dresser and the mirror were to be sold separately, but that the mirror is now half off the retail price so if we wanted to purchase it it would be $200 instead of $400. It's disappointing that we spent over $6000 in the past month and we ended up being misled about our purchase and we didn't get anything more than a "sorry". One should be very careful shopping at this store as they are very good at moving things around and manipulating a situation. What we saw was a brand new flex steel dresser that had one price tag of $1,599.98, we did not see any other price tags, and were told that the mirror was included. Why would you display a piece of furniture with a single price tag and then tell the customer that it is sold separately after the purchase? That is bad business. We're honest people and we expect honesty from any businesses that we deal with. Our previous purchase of a couch was delivered with a damaged leg and it ended up scratching our floor. The leg was repaired but we let the floor scratch slide as accidents happen. We're new to the area and wanted to support a local store, but we've had one too many disappointments with Gates so we'll have to take our business elsewhere from now on.

After buying 3 chairs and discovering that the one I bought especially for me was too big; I called the store to see if there was something they could do. Chris was so understanding and helpful that I'd recommend Gates Furniture to anyone. You are awesome Chris. Thank you so much!!

Really nice place, bit pricey and mostly out of reach for most folks, doesn't mean that is bad or wrong. The furniture is a bit better quality in nature if you are able to afford it. Great place.

Nice folks they helped us by bringing out some catalogs as we didn't like any of the beds that we saw there. and the information that the salesman there at Gates gave us was helpful in buying a bed somewhere else. And looking around it seems like the furniture was very expensive.
