Great little motel. Our room a bit smaller than other motels, but everything we needed for a restful overnight stop was provided by the gracious owner. Having one more chair for the bureau would have made it more comfortable for two. Especially liked the art work in the bathroom and the His and Hers towel hooks.
Food & drinks: Free water, tea, coffee, soda in the office.

It's been a year or 2 since I went here, but I figured I'd write a review. It was good! The rooms are nice enough, and the staff are wonderful. No bugs when I went.

Pros: The property is neat, clean, well taken care of most importantly "quiet" and that is pretty much it.
However the owners need to not be so cheap and make sure they are up to date on the maintenance issues.
Cons:
1) AC/Heater unit not working.
2) Water in the shower has low pressure which only makes it ok for a quick rinse.
3) Plumbing is bad even the bathroom sink has water flow issues.
4) Cheap mattress too "springy" where I could feel and hear this big spring poking at me as I'm getting into bed. ?
Time to toss out the old mattresses!
Didn't care much for the owner's "freeloader" daughter who stays there. ?
The old elderly owner is one strange character too. ??
Message To Owner:
If you don't like your guests because they complain about issues then don't operate as an innkeeper. ??
Rooms: Plumbing and AC/Heater needs maintenance.

For a budget motel, this is a great place. Nice staff (although they tend to close the office early, they provide ways to cope if they know you're coming), really nice rooms, inexpensive, ok, the building is old. So what, good beds, secure doors, good bathroom, nice staff.Rooms: Small and older, but squeaky clean, with good beds.

Oh my gosh. This place is lovely and so cute. It really does feel like visiting your grandma, with the comfy beds and little touches and quaint decorating. Now run by the granddaughter, although grandma is still around. Very well kept, little traffic noise in unit #6. Highly recommend for someone wanting a cozy stay. Great coffee in the rooms too! It's right in town so I was a little concerned about my car, but it seems like granny keeps a pretty watchful eye and we had no trouble.

Front desk lady super nice. Decor of room was really cute. Only downside was the shower: 1) the curtain didn't contain the water and 2) there was a faint sewage smell.

Fabulous room. We got the bigger one due to having a dog and a baby. There was still plenty of room even after setting up dog and baby stuff. The room is very spacious and is decorated nicely. It felt like I was back at my grandparents house ❤️
The only downside is the bed is creaky. I woke up in the middle of the night to use the restroom and woke up the baby. Maybe I just need to work on my stealth skills.
Be sure to call ahead to check in if you'll be arriving after 8pm. They'll put the key to your room in a lockbox and send you the access code. ?
I would highly recommend this hotel. ?
Rooms: Room was clean and very spacious!
Safety: Seems like a safe area with little to no crime. Cars can be noisy especially street racers. GRRRRRRRRR
Food & drinks: Restaurants are close by

Grants Pass has a large variety of motels and it seems I find a new gem every time I visit. The Buona Sera Inn is just that kind of place. It's a very quaint old school motel oozing character. Margaret, the current owner, told me that the motel was built in the 30s and then the other half was added in the 50s to create the motel's current horseshoe shape. The motel has been updated many times over the years and mixes vintage with modern very easily. There are only 15 rooms, but each one is unique, with some having full kitchens and bedrooms. There are painted murals of vines and such on the walls, and the rooms come with bathroom, shower, kitchen (with eating utensils and plates) fridge, microwave and even a dining table. The bed was comfortable if not a bit too squishy. It's all done in the style of the old motels where you parked in front of your room. Jackie, the check in lady, was helpful and kind and made checking in a breeze. It's located on one of the main streets in Grants Pass and is within walking distance of a bunch of helpful stores and restaurants. With all this charm and very affordable pricing, this is my new go-to motel in the Grants Pass area.

Room was filthy. Shower was clogged and full of hair so no showers. Was 110° there and the ac was off. Took all day and into the night to cool down the room. Would never stay here again.

We stayed in the Angel Room, and it was a fantastic room. This is not your average cookie cutter motel. The minute you open the door, you know there was a lot of care put into the rooms. The room felt like it welcomed you in. From the wine glasses and bottle opener to the heat lamps in the bathroom and the beautiful bedspread. You will not be disappointed booking a room here. The staff is also extremely friendly and willing to help right away. If you plan on getting there after 8:00 p.m. make sure you call ahead so they can leave your key in the lock box for you. Check-in ends at 8:00.Rooms: Angel room was fabulous!!!
