“I would give 10 stars if I could. Excellent Customer Service and the selection is like no other toy store. Will definitely shop here again. If only every store and store owner could be this good. I love my Nano Neons! Thank you!”

“Great place for kids and adults to pass the time away building thing's with the many pieces available. You can buy what you build as well. Good experience for my grandson and myself whilst the ladies were attending to beauty appointments.”

“Come for the play space, leave with a boatload of new toys! Which in this case was a good thing, since we visited near the holidays and have a bunch of nieces and nephews. While I think this spot is only listed as a toy store on Yelp--and what an amazing, well-thought-out, beautiful layout of toys and other offerings they have--the small play space to me is just as lovely. The sky and rainbow theme is a dream, and the toys are thoughtful and of good quality. We had at first tried to go to a different indoor playground in town, but when it turned out to be unexpectedly closed for the week, it was serendipity that we found ourselves here instead. My two small kiddos played for around an hour, and the adults left with a wooden thumb piano, a DIY synthesizer, and a set of magnetic darts, among other things. Which are gifts and which I'm planning to keep, I'll never tell. Can't wait to come back.”

“I LOVE this place. It's my first stop for all my kids' birthdays and for their friends' gifts. The staff is wonderfully helpful, and helped me pick the BEST card game for my burgeoning "[card] gamer" 6-year-old son, (game is called Sleeping Queens) after I mentioned he loved Uno.They also went down to their out-of-season stock to find me a beach bucket and water toys for a fundraiser basket I was helping fill.If you enjoy having a near-personal-shopper to guide you towards quality recommendations for the young and young-at-heart in your life, this is the place. Also: complimentary gift-wrapping. Need I say more?”

“This place is awesome, a perfect nerdy nest for anyone interested in Japanese pop culture and other similar fun things. As soon as I saw the exterior, my mood immediately lifted. My friend recommended it to me when I was having a tough day and ended up buying some holiday gifts and cute little things like stickers here. They have a lot to choose from, variety of prices (you can either come out barely spending anything to getting some expensive high quality merchandise) and the setup of the store is just very lovely to look at. The store owner was really nice and inclusive, you can tell they are passionate about what they do. I want to come back and bring everyone I know with similar interests.”

“Beanstalk has some frustratingly limited hours, making it difficult to patronize on the regular (especially during the work week!), but when you do manage to get in the door, there's some fantastic treasures to be found here. Although it is primarily a consignment children's clothing store, you'll also find no shortage of wonderful, analog toys to plant the seeds of imagination in your little ones, in the hope that they'll sprout into clever, intelligent, fully-functioning, not-screen-addicted adults! This must be a conscious choice, because I could find nary an electronic device anywhere in the shop! Big kudos from me on that point alone! As for the clothing, let's just say, you're spoilt for choice. While some of the items are a little on the pricier side than I would like for a consignment shop, the quality of the clothing here is impeccable: clean, well-organized, and a healthy variety of sizes and styles. Everything you could need for any age, from newborn and toddler, up through the early grade school years: shirts, pants, dresses, hats, coats, shoes (TONS of shoes!), costumes, and all sorts of accessories! There's also a small selection of baby stuff in the back, including cribs, swings, and a host of different devices that I have no clue as to their function, but will assuredly be learning about them in the coming months (my wife is due next month)! In the last year, I have come to learn that shopping for a new child sucks, mostly because there is a dearth of places that have any quantity of clothing and accessories, outside of the big box stores, which I would prefer not to frequent, if possible. Thankfully, Beanstalk is here to pick up the slack, but you DO have to make an effort to get here during operating hours, particularly if you work during the week: Saturday (from 10am to 5pm) is your only real available option.”

“Good k-pop selection at decent prices. Their openness for trading events is nice. The workers are always kind, too. They sell Harry Potter, which doesn’t bode well for trans allyship, but that’s my only complaint.”

“Wow, we are so thrilled with our new play structure! Dave was so helpful designing an amazingly fun and unique structure in our tight space. His son, Ben, installed everything in a few days and was able to integrate it with an existing patio so the kids can access it from multiple directions. My girls couldn’t be happier and we have many years of fun memories to make. Thank you!”

“We first found Attic Salt in Spokane. When we realized that the Portland area also has this store, what a great surprise! I think that the Portland stores are all called Fuego, but it is the same great stuff.”

“Nick was extremely helpful and a great guy to chat with! Was a little apprehensive about going through SF because once you have a reputation online it's hard to shake it, but it seems they've been able to expand their facilities and customer service has greatly improved. My experience was very enjoyable, and I would definitely recommend them, especially if you can make the trip to the Showroom.”

“I think I could've spent several hours here just browsing at all the things and buying gifts for my 2, 5, and 7-year olds. Outside of big retailers, there aren't many good, physical toy stores left and this one has all the feels of being a kid and going into a toy store with wondrous delight everywhere you turn. Here, it's not on app on the screen: Touch, feel, and see the toys because they've got new stuff and "oh my gosh, remember this?!" stuff. There is something for almost every age group and a nice price range of items to choose from as well: stuffed animals, puzzles, stickers, cute pens, toy cars, wooden toys, legos, and so much more. I almost missed the "hidden" book section in the back! I do agree with another yelper that the employees are rather aloof and a bit unhelpful, but there isn't much one can help, unless you are looking for something specific and you're in a hurry. If you have kids and/or you're looking for gifts/rewards, this place is def a must-stop!”

“Fun place to go and get candies from all over the world. They also have a penny rolling machine which needs 1 penny and 2 quarters. Some arcade machines in the back.”

“We got there around 2pm Saturday, it was very very crowded, with a movie event going on. Paid for parking. Lots to show the kids but couldn't really do much due to others using and looking at each thing there was at each station. Tickets sold out fast for the submarine. The kids were amazed by the animal and critter exhibits, a good amount of species to see. Grabbed a coffee from the cafe wasn't too bad, the photo booth did not work. Overall we felt rushed with not many choices to do while we waited for our turn to experience anything. As it got closer to closing time we did manage to experience more. We will be going again just maybe earlier in the day and maybe a week day.”

“I took my son here so he could get himself something he's wanted for a couple of years. Walking in some of the prices were not clearly marked and my son is a little upset and the girl behind the counter kind of just rolled her eyes at my son. We finally settled on something and the other person working was way nicer and not as pushy with sales and rushing us. I kid you not in the 20 minutes it took my son to pick something she asked us about 20 times if we were ready.”

“Great shop that reminds of the record stores I came up frequenting in the 90s. The hip hop section is especially robust but don't sleep on the rest of the offerings either. Tim is super kind and personable too. A++”

“I love shopping local! When I was shopping before my first son's arrival it was a fun experience with knowledgable sales people. I am a full spectrum doula so I am familiar with tons of baby products but Diane was able to introduce me to new things that have been extremely useful. We are expecting our next child and are excited to head over to pick up a couple of items that we wished we had invested in the first time around. We're looking forward to seeing the new curated line up!”

“This store gives me vibes of Hot Topic because of the unique T-shirt selection. I love Quirky T shirts and have bought so many from here over the years that I can have an entire wardrobe of just those . But they offer much much more .Very cute knick- knacks and you can find a unique gift or a fun display item very easily . The store is big and has lots of space to walk around .I have always found the staff to be super sweet .”

“I fell in love with comic books during the mid-1990's, and had no idea that Marvel comics had such an interconnected universe to discover. Well, I ordered four beautiful back issues of Marvel comics and they were shipped to me in excellent condition. Now I have the new Scarlet Witch trade paperback ordered from Things From Another World. Altogether I have spent about $46.00 on the company's web store. The one thing you need to be wary of is going wild with preorders. I wish the site would warn you before locking in your order if it is past the FOC date. Besides that, TFAW is a haven for comic fans. Thanks to all the employees for running such a fun online shop.”

“Visited Game Stop today with my son to check out some Pokemon cards. The employee who helped us, Keegan, was incredibly knowledgeable about Pokemon and Nintendo games, as well as engaging and helpful. He even gave the small promo we earned directly to my kid and made him feel special during our entire time in the store! Thank you GameStop and Keegan for the great experience!”
