Never open, won't answer the phone. I wish marcus' family took it over and kept it running how it used to be ran. Used to be a great spot.

Al's is one of my favorite gun stores. Been going her for many years, mostly for gunsmithing services. Stopped by this weekend and met the new owner. I was saddened to hear of Marcus's passing. He will be greatly missed. The new owner seems like a good guy. We shall see. He's still waiting for his FFL to be approved before he can purchase stock and open for business. No idea how long that will take other than the fact that in recent weeks the backlog of background checks has been completely insane. The shop can be a little difficult to find. It's in the boonies a few miles from Forest Grove. It's been there since the 1950's so all the locals and serious enthusiasts know where it is. Hoping the new ownership continues to make this a great gun shop.

I will miss this shop I always had a great experience! I remember one of the first time I went in to buy some 22LR ammo and hunting ammo. My son(5 years old) asked if we were getting darts(ammo, he likes nuft guns), I said "yep then were going shooting".... the owner saw how happy my son was and just gave us the boxes of 22 ammo.... it wasnt much but it meant a lot. There are less and less "old fashion" gun shops....

Unfortunately I learned today that the reason Al's is closed is that earlier this year Marcus (the owner) went into the hospital and did not come out. I'm very saddened to learn of his passing and that his family chose not to keep the shop going. I understand Kurt at H&K in forest Grove took all his inventory. Rest in peace Marcus.

Great shop, I am not part of the hang out club, but have purchased a number of fire arms there and if Marcus doesn't have it, he will get it for you. Always fair and friendly, not many shops like this anymore, sad. WLD

Rude to individuals in wheelchairs. I guess it's ok to laugh and mock a disabled person just because you think they can't “get after some elk†simply because you're in a wheelchair. I will never recommend this place even if they do good work.

Did a great job on my X-RAY3 6/6 conceal carry SIG sights, only took about 2.5 weeks. A+!
