Village Grooming
1379 Rhododendron Dr, FlorenceGreat with our dogs ! Our older dog would not let anyone trim his nails without a fight, to the point that he had to be put out to do them . Village did them without a problem and he’s not all droggy and upset afterwards! Can’t say how much we appreciate them and would highly recommend them !!!

Aloha Pet Grooming
1751 12th St, FlorenceThis is one of the better grooms I’ve ever had! Competitive pricing and lovely atmosphere. I don’t know what the other reviews is talking about when she didn’t even get her dog groomed with Aloha first hand. Seems strange to me. I highly recommend Aloha!

Dirty Dog Grooming
1726 US-101, FlorenceI cannot say enough good things about Lisa. And if my dog Pookie could talk, he would have a thing or two to say as well. Pookie is an eight-year-old American Eskimo. They are known to be somewhat high strung. Pookie also suffered some trauma at the hands of a previous groomer. I was having such trouble finding a new dog groomer and some turned me down after the first visit. A friend recommended Lisa at Dirty Dog and I decided to give her a try. I explained Pookie's situation and she was so understanding. She made a special appointment with plenty of time to get to know Pookie. I told her to do what she could and I would understand. Each time she was able to do more and more. By the third trip, she accomplished everything! I talked to other groomers, but oddly enough, it was Pookie who made the decision. Lisa is great and I would recommend her to anyone with a dog who needs special attention.

Linda’s Pet Grooming
1487 US-101 STE B, FlorenceEthical and knowledgeable grooming shop.. As for the 1star review !!! Read between the lines. You are an Unethical breeder. As for the sore!!! This is your fault! The sore is caused from severe matting. When this happens it actually restricts the blood flow to the surrounding tissue. When the Matt is finally removed blood rushes to the area and this causes the dog a tingling sensation like when your arm falls asleep at night. The dog then scratches this area. To further compound the issue this area is already sensitive and damaged from the matting. A groomer uses a short blade to remove the Matt because it's the only way to get under it because of how close it is to the skin the Matt is. This whole situation is preventable with proper home care. The groomer is not at fault at all in this situation and the blame falls squarely on the owners shoulders for her neglect.

Novelli's Crab and Seafood
100 Harbor Street, Boat Slip A13 On Boat Dock, across from grass field/Boardwalk. Go through gates and down ramp, FlorenceWe ordered crab chowder and Mom's Recipe Garlic bread. DJ was kind, open, and honest; the garlic bread was the best ever. We ate our chowder on the dock picnic tables and we we're joined by a seal and a couple of ravens. Thankfully, the wildlife was polite. I highly recommend the chowder and garlic bread. The ambiance of eating chowder on the water was incomparable.

Dutch Bros Coffee
1769 20th St, FlorenceFast and friendly service at this Dutch Bros. This facility has two drive thru windows in a small parking lot which helps with the speed of service. This was my first time at a DB in the state it originated, Oregon. The consistency across stores and quality control is evident.

Sweet Magnolia Bakery & Cafe
182 Laurel St, FlorenceA little hard to find. Tucked back off the street and poor signage. Small and cramped, tough to get around when there's a line. Three tables inside and patio dining. Nice selection of treats and hot breakfast and lunch items. Tried the cheesy omelet, egg & cheese croissant and cinnamon roll French toast. Oregon berry cheesecake and a cinnamon roll to go. Took about 15 minutes to get our food. We managed to score one of the indoor tables. The French toast was really good, nice twist on the usual. Egg dishes were standard fare, nothing special. Had the desserts later on and they were delicious.

International C-food Market Restaurant
1498 Bay St, FlorenceOpting for the International C-food Market Restaurant instead of next-door Novelli's due to the lack of indoor seating there was a delightful choice. We were greeted by a friendly waitress and seated promptly with a charming view of the Siuslaw River. Service was swift as our drinks and lunch orders were taken quickly. I had the clam chowder and calamari—while the chowder was quite good, earning a solid 4 out of 5 stars, it fell a bit short at 3 stars due to its sogginess and a dipping sauce that missed the mark. However, the tea was fresh, and the overall dining experience was positive. A good spot if you're craving seafood with a view.

Oregon Coast Humane Society
2840 Rhododendron Dr, FlorenceI found the staff at OCHS to be kind and gentle-hearted. It is apparent that their main concern is for the care and well-being of the animals. This group makes it their mission to provide the best with the resources available. The animals are clean, regularly exercised, socialized, receive exceptional medical care, and well-rounded meals. I was so impressed!
I adopted a dog, who ended up not being a fit for my home environment. I was heartbroken! If you've ever been in this situation, some people can be very unkind (which is reasonable, no one wants to see an animal returned). The staff was empathetic on his return, were a listening ear, and had nothing but the best interest of the animal at heart. I will be forever grateful for their kindness during this difficult situation.
