“Cute little nursery with a nice assortment of plants and trinkets! The owner was also extremely friendly, knowledgeable and happy to answer questions.

I don't have picture of the three plants I got (Swedish Ivy, Cryptanthus Bivittatus, and a Tiger Kitten Begonia), but it's been a couple weeks and they're still doing great! Owner was even gracious enough to give me a small discount on one of his older plants that I picked up, since it was my birthday. Will definitely be back and would recommend for anyone looking for a reputable and affordable place to find a new houseplant friend!”

“We've been going to Geren's for forty years, and have watched them grow. Throughout that time, they have managed to keep their style of personalized service. Always friendly and knowledgeable, with the possibility of seeing a mess of kittens on your visit.Animal feed, equestrian supplies, hardware and tools, ag chemicals, and depending on season, pets and small livestock”

“Had a great selection of plants and other holiday decor. We were shopping for some pots for house plants as well but opted to go elsewhere due to cost. We did buy the plants we came to get but for comparison the pots were around 2-2.5 times more expensive than some local competition. They are having a sale on their larger outdoor stuff though which may be worth considering.”

“This is a family-owned business and we have been coming here for years. Everyone is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. They have a wonderful selection and variety of plants as well. We get all of our garden supplies here, and loaded up on vegetable starts last week. We love supporting this local business. The Koi pond is beautiful!”

“We’ve bought several bamboo plants from Phil’s - absolutely the best place to get bamboo. All the bamboo types (which there are many, all of which can grow from 10 feet to 30 - 40 feet, so you really need to know what you’re buying!) are bucketed together with signs that talk about how tall it grows and other considerations. They’ve also always been able to answer our questions too and help us determine what bamboo to buy.

Basically, if you need bamboo, this is the place to go. I kind of shudder thinking about getting it anywhere else actually (like down the road at another nursery they had bamboo except it was all intermixed and hard to tell which bamboo was which type….)- bamboo isn’t something you want to buy and not know what type you’re getting since they grow to different heights and thickness.

Another bonus: they also have a nice assortment of native plants.”

“I love this place and have always gotten good results with their starts. I however read reviews noting their plants had bugs. Knowing this I inspected mine upon purchase and kept an eye on them/away from others. I noticed some small bugs on my cute puffball and am now able to treat it and keep it thriving. Thankful for that heads up in other reviews.
Shout out to the really nice staff and awesome selection of pots.”

“Been a customer for several years. Great service. Great prices. Great quality. I always laugh when I go to Home Depot and see people buying multiple bags of compost/potting soil. For the price of just a few bags, you can go to Mt Scott Fuel and buy a whole truck load.”

“Amazing, small, locally owned nursery. Customer service was super friendly and top tier! One of the few places I was able to find fresh and fragrant holiday greens and wreaths. They have lots of holiday fare and super affordable prices. I will absolutely return for the stellar customer service! I purchased a few wreaths and they even offered to carry them to the car for me which I feel was very kind and attentive. Go and check them out!”

“The absolute best community resource I've used. We just moved to Lents and were a bit strapped for cash after buying a house, and this tool library was (and still is) a life saver. The volunteers are friendly and helpful. I hope this place stays here forever.”

“Friendly helpful staff. We needed a trailer to haul a big set of trees for us, and our neighbors. It was in tip top shape, and worked perfectly. It was pretty reasonable to. We'll definitely be back.”

“My mother get's her dog food here, along with bird feed. She's happy with the prices, products and the customer service. I was too when I visited with her to pick up a few items. They cater to small and large animals, with a great selection of products. I was actually a bit surprised by how much they had to offer.”

“I mostly use the garden center, so this review is only for that part of the store. The potted plants here are always healthy and ready for whatever you have in mind. Put them in the ground, in pots, raised beds .... as long as you've done the prep - they're gonna make it. Speaking of prep, they have every variation of miracle grow, but you can reject that hegemony and buy something that isn't mostly chemicals. Organic soil, compost and mulch are available in large quantities. There are organic and specialty fertilizers in out of the way spots. The worm casings are inside, and you can also find fish fertilizer tucked on a shelf. You'll have to walk past a mile of poisons to get there. Seriously. Maybe try some companion gardening to deal with pests instead of nuking everything. And don't get me going on that planet killing weed killer. A tiny bit of scrolling through your pocket library of Alexandria will give you an idea of which plants need more or less light, and if you want an easier way, most of the pots also have qr codes you can scan for specific details on care. Oh, and pots! Lots and lots of pots. The inexpensive plastic ones look just as nice as the others, and they won't break your back to move them once they are full of soil and beautiful growing things. Trellises, wire, bricks, wine barrels, everything. The check out in the garden center is quick and the folks who work there are super nice. Walking away with a cart full of plants and soil is like making an investment in happiness and health. What a great way to find a happy spot in a mean old world.”

“I was looking for a specific pressure washer and though the app said it was in stock, there were none on the shelf. I asked one of the associates in garden for help and saw what I saw and said they were out. I showed he the count on the app and asked her if she could check into it to see if they were stored somewhere else and she promptly turned to another customer and began helping him.I went to customer service and Bobby promptly found some in overhead. He called Katie and she was quick to physically locate them. She found a lift operator and got them pulled down. There were several frustrating events that lead to delays but she stuck with it even going to get a cart and loading it on the cart for me. Several customers interrupted her to get her attention and she persisted with me to be sure I got what I needed while remaining polite to the other customers. I have to say Bobby was very helpful and Katie was super helpful. Best service I have ever received at HD without question and I am a contractor that is in here almost daily.Katie J turned around what looked like it was going to be a bad experience into one to remember.”

“Finally received contact today. Will update when/if order is received. update: order was received, met team at nearest freeway drop off point. I started my review with one star-because I ordered, contacted them 4 times with no response. Finally, the road crew got in touch with me via text, and we arranged a time/date. The apricots are LOVELY-I am a jam maker, and they are difficult to find. Changing my review to 5 stars, but just know this: They deliver only twice a year, they are not a "typical" online business, so if you need something NOW or even SOON, this probably isnt the business for you. I know now, and am aware. The delivery people are a husband and wife team who are very friendly.”

“Looking for a large shade tree and they had plenty to choose from. Great customer service, very knowledgeable about their trees, and friendly. A very nice gentleman even walked around with us and helped pick out a tree and answered all our questions as we shopped around. Avle to find the perfect tree and a hard to find larger size. Thank you.”

“Great to see Home Depot accepting Compact Fluorescent Bulbs (CFLs) and rechargeable batteries for recycling. These both contain toxic chemicals and should not go in your trash or your regular recycling. Home Depot makes this important recycling easy by providing individual bins just inside the entrance. Good work, Depot! I appreciate this service to the community.”
