Hands down, Wiggly Tails Rescue Organization is in my opinion hands down the best rescue organization. They are a nonprofit 501(c) (3) rescue organization that rescues dogs in high kill shelters in California. Laura Green is the best Executive Director and really knows her stuff. I’ve only interacted with her. On May 13, 2023, I went to PetSmart on Chad drive to a local adoption event that was from 12:00-4:00. I arrived at 10:00 because I really wanted to meet one pup and her name was Cheesecake! When I got there, nobody was there yet from Wiggly Tails and I didn’t mind. I waited very patiently and the wait is definitely worth it. A potential adopter was supposed to be there and time kept going by and going by. I told Laura to call or text me if things didn’t work out with the other potential adopter I’d come back and meet her or meet her the next day. I’d left at about 3:00 without Cheesecake. I’d gotten about 10 minutes away and had received a text from Laura that read, baby come back!! Oh man, my heart jumped up in my throat. I went back and Laura had told me things didn’t work out with the other potential adopter and asked me if I wanted to meet her. She didn’t even have to wait for my answer as she probably could hear the excitement in my voice when I called her after her text to me and I’d told her where I was and how long it’d take me to get back there. Cheesecakes foster mom brought her to me and oh my, she absolutely melted my heart and I know now that I melted hers. We both fell in love with each other right then and there. Cheesecake is now Zoë and my toddler fur child. She’s Japanese Chin/Pekingese x, to me though she’s all my baby girl. I don’t know what her life was prior to her rescue, but I know that her foster mom and Laura did an amazing job with her as you’d never know where she came from and you, like myself couldn’t imagine why someone would take her to such a place or if she was a stray, you’d never know now. Zoë’s 1000% spoiled, just as it should be and she’s living her best life thanks to Laura and Wiggly Tails. There is an adoption fee. It takes care of the gas to go down to California to get them and bring them back, spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations, a free bag of the dog food they’re already on, a free extensive veterinary visit(one supported by Wiggly Tails) their second sets of shots, their collar, and or harness and leash, a whole paper from PetSmart with amazing coupons, including grooming. It’s amazing to adopt a dog and or animal and I was lucky enough to cross paths with Wiggly Tails as I’ve adopted the perfect gem ?Thank you to Laura Green, staff and Wiggly Tails!I can’t say enough good things about Wiggly Tails!I highly, highly recommend Wiggly Tails Rescue Organization!

I have adopted three puppies from Wiggly Tails. They are the loves of my life and my BFFs! Everything was as promised (vaccines, checkups, neutering, etc.) and we couldn't be happier. All of my fur-babies were rescued from kill shelters.I referred a friend to them after she lost her dog to old age. She fell in love with and adopted Molly at first sight. Another happily ever after. I'm so grateful for the work this rescue does!

The staff here work so hard to save as many dogs as possible. I foster a dog right now from them. They need more volunteers and foster parents to save more pups and dogs from being put down.

We adopted our dog, Angus (was Roosevelt), about a month ago and had a splendid experience with Wiggly Tails. His foster, Leah, called us promptly after our application was submitted to give us a fully transparent breakdown of his personality and behavior, good and bad, and set up a meet n greet shortly after. Angus has certainly been a work in progress behavior wise, but in just a months time he’s turned into the sweetest, most loving companion we could have ever asked for. Thank you Wiggly Tails for giving us the opportunity to rescue this little guy!

Best experience ever! This my first time adopting a dog and I loved every minute of it!? Katie koko’s foster mommy was awesome! Such a sweet and nice lady! Made everything so easy and welcoming for us. Bridgette The lady that helped with all the paper work was so nice as well. Really enjoyed working with these two ladies.. I couldn’t be more happier with my new puppy, he’s such a good sweet calm boy and my 3 sons love him to! Katie has been so kind to stay in contact with me for any advice I might need, witch I have already been bugging her with tons of questions lol but she doesn’t hesitate to help me and i really appreciate that. LOVE WIGGLY TAILS!!??

This is by far the worst rescue ever they took my chihuahua rat terrier mya from a friend knowing it was not her dog to surrender sure they helped me when she had dental surgery come up. The illegally took my dog in for profit without permission. And secretly adopted her out Whitney was by far the worst and not any better with her new business. They are thief’s and many people have came to me about them and Whitney avoid this place at all cost

I hate to give a dog rescue one star. I went to meet a puppy tonight and my husband had a change of heart and didn't want to come. I didn't want to keep the person that I said I'd meet hanging so I went to meet the puppy at Pet Smart. The first person was nice. But as I'm on the phone with my husband, a Wiggly Tails employee named Miranda comes over and begins berating me. She very loudly tells me that I'm going to end up returning the puppy and my husband will probably kick her across the yard. There was no way to defend myself as she kept talking down to me like I was a 2 year old. Miranda knows nothing about me and my pets. She was extremely rude and needs a job away from customer service. And dogs.

I fell in love with a puppy so I put in an application and went to their event. I was told they wanted to wait and see if other people who applied for him were coming and that nobody had called them back or said they were going to meet him. Okay, so I waited for 2 hours. lots of people coming and going and adopting puppies. They we're probably hoping I'd just leave. After a very long time I was told I wasn't a good fit for the specific puppy I wanted. Which I have no problem with if it's not a good fit then it's not a good fit. But they could have told me right after looking at my application instead of asking me to wait and basically ignoring me for 2 hours. Nobody else adopted him either so I don't know if they were waiting for someone they judged as better or we actually weren't a good fit.. They did however let me adopt a different puppy from the same litter which ended up not working out. I contacted them about returning the puppy and the foster because I planned on keeping in contact with her.wiggly tails never got back to me but the foster did. I was told me refund would be processed and I wanted to have all the information about how it worked so there was no confusion after starting the process of returning the puppy and being refunded. They acted like I was saying they were trying to take the dog back and keep my money when I just wanted to speak to someone from the adoption center about it before the process started instead of the foster who didn't have access to my information and couldn't do anything with my refund. Finally got everything settled and turns out there is money missing from my refund excluding the application fee. I've been told they will look into it so we will see how that goes. I was treated very poorly at the event and over the phone. I think it's great they are helping dogs find family's but a little customer service goes a long way. If you do chose to adopt a dog from them I hope your experience is better than mine. It's not the dogs fault people are the way they are.

Positive experience six years ago. I’m thankful that Wiggly Tails scrutinizes the adoption applications and places animals with the best homes possible. If you’re angry and vengeful that you didn’t get a dog… going online to spread your hateful comments… I guess you might not be the best person to adopt and care for a dog. Maybe work on that.

Dont fall in love with a dog. First off, the process in which they adopt dogs is horrible. You have to go to events and meet them and then 50 people put in an application and they just look over the application and judge you. People come from out of town and what they don’t tell you is they want someone in town so they can come over to your house to spy on you. If you are out of Eugene seriously don’t waste your time. It’s a joke. Also if there are 50 people wanting the same dog your odds are very low. They always have a reasoning why they won’t pick you. Simple things like you are not retired and working from home all day. People that gave this place 5 stars have been approved. They are not a first come first served which they do inform people. I get that this non-profit wants to adopt out animals to the best homes only, but they also have to understand that people are driving from different areas of Oregon just to be strung along. How about be clear and transparent up front and then hopefuls will know exactly what you are looking for. For example, things such as : no kids, must be retired , must live in Eugene or surrounding area, must be physically fit, must have a truck, must have 10 acres, must be a vet tech, must have one animal only. You get the idea. The odds are just very low of being able to adopt a dog, again I applaud them for caring so much but put more info out there regarding what you are expecting from the potential homes. I also don’t understand why they charge so much and how they charge for a non refundable application fee. Most county run nonprofits do not do this. You fill out an application and they see if you are a fit, they also don’t charge this much for a dog.

I adopted “Doug” who is now Jax. He was scared when I met him. And it’s taken five months for him not to be scared. Of cars, rides, people. He loves other dogs and people. Wants to meet everything. This adoption was so easy. Nicole and the caretaker were great. I feel so lucky ? that I got Jax. He’s a happy man. I can’t express how easy and fast his was. because I had tried at green hill and that was not cool. At all. Rude people lying about dog ages. Truth. Green hill made me lose hope. Until wiggly paws. I went In thinking it wouldn’t work out....I cried on my way home...I waited for so long cuz of Covid. Thank you Nicole. Thank you wiggly paws. Jax thanks you too! He’s happy and healthy and smart!
