Update: Reduced my review to one star. Prices went up considerably to $15/mo. One year commitment, if you cancel early you have to buy out the rest of the year.
That was enough for me to pass.
Great facility, nice staff.
Two things could be definitely improved...
The media that members are subjected to, specifically music & choice of programming on televisions.
Literally no one listens or watches either one for good reason!
First off, choice of programming on the television monitors is ridiculous... 90% of which are talking head commentary, to which of course there is no sound to...or subtitles! And of course highly commercial & annoyingly safe.
Planet fitness is definitely underestimating the sophistication of their clientele!
The choices are actually a bit dumb on Planet Fitnesses part.
Here are some suggestions for monitors:
-Turn on subtitles ding dongs!
-Outdoor adventure programming
-Climbing/ mountaineering
-OPB
-Tiny House programs
-Oregon Field guide
-Anything Oregon related
-Classic non-commercial movies/TV series
-Limit using majority of monitors for sports
-Travel programming with Rick Steves
-Screensaver with beautiful Oregon locations.
-Add some quirky programming
As far as music... Stick with quality classic rock/funk/disco, as it will will appeal to more people... Especially over the junk they're subjecting everyone to at the moment.
So yeah, do better Planet fitness, improve the overall experience.

I went in to cancel my membership and was assured I would not be charged for the next month of service by Taylor. I was charged anyway and when I called was told "Taylor is new and nothing they can do and now im overdrawn so thank you planet fitness for making life harder in an already bad economy. These details are hidden in the long contract so if you don't cancel 6 days before the renewal date you still get charged. Horrible practice especially for a non essential service.

This is the most pathetic location I've ever been to. You have myself, and people waiting on benches, while the inbreds using them are busy 10 minutes in between sets, scrolling facebook, and taking selfies.
The staff here does not care, and will do nothing about phone usage, when you complain.
This is not a gym for anyone who is serious about training.
Don't bother sending me a useless paragraph of your management's empty words, and lies of correcting the problem.
You will never do anything about it, and that is why you are made fun of in the gym community.
Time cancel on PF, and upgrade.

BEWARE!!!!! CARS ARE STOLEN OUT OF THE PARKING LOT FREQUENTLY!!!! MY FRIEND JUST WENT IN TO TAN AND CAME BACK OUT AND HER CAR WAS GONE IN LESS THEN 10 MINUTES!!! SINCE THEN WE HAVE LEARNED CARS ARE STOLEN FROM THAT PARKING LOT OFTEN!!! WE ARE GOING TO SWITCH TO A NEW LOCATION.
CAR WAS NOT FOUND AS OF YET!

I signed up under a promotion that had no annual fees and less than a year later, I downgraded my membership under the assurance that everything in my contract would remain the same except my lowered monthly rate, but then I was charged a $49 annual fee. I called and was assured that this was incorrect and they agreed to issue a refund that would arrive within a week, but did not. I called back and then they said they “couldn’t issue refunds” and they’ve never heard of a contract without annual fees even though it is clearly in my contract. I’m disputing these charges because this is poor business practice and this gym is by no means worth paying the base charge + an annual fee.

I like going when it's not super busy. Black card is totally worth it for the hydromassage services. Good selection of equipment. Sometimes staff seem to be more interested in chatting with each other than helping, but once you get their attention are very nice.

Needs more stair climber machines. There are only 4, and one is usually out of order. They are very sought after. Tons of unused treadmills, could definitely swap some if those out for another couple stair machines.

The gym equipment and facility is great. 3 Stars though right? The showers get sprayed out a few times throughout the day which yes is great! Shower curtains though? Disgusting and slimy with mildew. Having it rub against my shin was a completely disgusting feeling. The curtains look like they have never been scrubbed and sanitized. No photos obviously because they are awesome and don't allow photos in the locker room for safety.
Update, it took me complaining directly to 3 different people! The third gal went and cleaned them herself and then told me that they are trained to only hose out the showers. The curtains apparently are Not a worry of theirs but I feel it's important to those of us using them and running nasty mildew to the floor of the showers. They were only cleaned the one time after repeated complaints. The gal who cleaned the curtains is no longer working here (can you really blame her?) so doubtful they will ever get cleaned again! Yes, by now they are gross again so take water shoes with you or risk slipping on the mildew floors. It's almost September now and no regular cleaning schedule has been made to get the curtains weekly cleaning (daily cleaning is obviously out of the question when they have only cleaned them once in almost 9 months!!! Most of you probably have nasty bathrooms at home too!!! So from 3 stars to 1 because you all are creating a health issue to anyone who steps into a shower. My husband has reported the nastiness in the men's shower's and how the walls never get wiped down! Power washing the shower floors has this gym failing cleanliness badly.
