I'm guessing this place is decently priced for storage. The boss is trying to take care of the problem but there have been recent accidents due to people breaking in through the fence. When I talked with him last he is putting paneling to help the issue. Over all good place for storage and convenient being on 99 also

I rented a storage unit here because they offered a very competitive rate and it was located near my home. After being in the unit only a month and a half I got a notice that they were increasing my rate by 40%. At the same time they are currently advertising a unit the same size and similar location for less than half of what they plan to charge me. Nothing in the advertising says the rate they offer is a teaser rate, but that is apparently how they do business. There is a larger unit for a lower price at a nearby facility, but it owned by the same company so I won't fall for it again. These practices may be good for company profits, but not for customer satisfaction.

My recent experience was absolutely perfect! What sets Northwest Storage above others is that amazing staff at 3550 Hawthorne UNDERSTAND THEIR CUSTOMERS. They know that MOVING DAY can be stressful, emotional and draining. The staff was Respectful, Kind, Caring and Helpful. Northwest is a rare company with Real Customer Service (not some slogan)
As a retired business executive, I would say that experience with Northwest Storage at 5500 Hawthorne is one of the best experiences in 55 years!

DO NOT STORE HERE unless you want your things to get stolen! My unit was broken into and very expensive items were stolen. The staff seemed very unsurprised and told me that they do not have any cameras other than at the gate. When I filed a police report the officer said he processes reports of burglaries at this storage facility almost every week. I am shocked at how insecure this facility is. Everyone using it should remove their possessions ASAP and customers looking for storage units must avoid this place!
