NO CAPACITY & EVEN LESS EMPATHYMy car broke down at night on South Willamette two blocks from this "AUTO REPAIR CENTER" and I thought I was lucky to get it to a (closed) "auto repair center" that might understand an emergency breakdown situation. I planned to go there bright and early in the morning when the website said they open. The one review was 5 stars, said: "Great locally-owned Auto shop. Ken the owner is one of the most honest people and the prices are very reasonable. This shop has been around Eugene for over 45 years and Ken does it all himself. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone with car or marine issues."When I got there, the coffee drive-thru owner who shares the lot came out essentially with her fists clenched ready to tell me I could not park on their property, and trying to avert that obviously awkward situation (again, I had had a breakdown after hours...) I explained an *emergency breakdown situaion* and she looked at me like I was from Mars. "Why... well... Ken is full, though! He won't be able to help you!" At which point, a fussy and very rude fellow stumbled out of the "CLOSED" auto shop to essentially read me the riot act for bringing a car to his "AUTO REPAIR CENTER" saying "Well, I don't know what you expect ME to do!" He then demanded that I start and drive/push my car into his alley and call a tow-truck to find an actual auto repair shop, which I did. I have probably never been treated more rudely in my life, and I was very polite. The tow-truck driver on the way over to their competition told me "Oh, yeah, that guy basically screams at us every time we are there." I guess that's "friendly, honest, reasonable, local" Ken... So, I guess if you have something wrong with your schooner, yacht, or amphibious landing vehicle, this is the place for you. They have absolutely ZERO tolerance for people who are not good friends of theirs with auto repair needs. They seriously were scratching their heads at how I could have thought they would want to fix my car.Further, Yelp reviewers list "this location has closed." If so much business they cannot listen to you for five seconds or get you in whenever the next available slot opens (which I would have been fine with and stated), then I guess they are... "closed."
