I first met Karen when she made masks during the pandemic. I have since gone to her for alterations. She is professional, work is top notch and prices are reasonable. I highly recommend her.

Karen was excellent to work with. I had an expensive raincoat that needed shortening. I sew myself but I was afraid I would botch it. Karen did an excellent job promptly and for a reasonable fee. Based on this project, I will gladly use her services again. I highly recommend her to others.

I was looking for a tailor to custom fit some blazers. She recommended her opinion which I respect, however she made feel like only her opioid mattered and not mine. I’m the customer therefore I’m paying you. If you tell me it won’t look good that’s okay but as long as I like it then that’s all that matters. She charges $60 per hour? That’s a high rate. She then made me feel guilty for not giving her my jacket saying “I spent almost 30 min, if you want to do it then you have to do it now” I haven’t experienced that from a tailor and I have worked with European tailors and nothing close to a professional. Would not recommend her or take my business here.

If I could rate this 0 stars I would. I called Karen to talk about a possible fix for my backpack zipper. On the call she was very rude, one of the rudest calls I’ve ever had with a “small business owner”. I still have her a chance and followed through with the scheduled appointment but when I got there I didn’t know which building she was in so I called her to ask her. She then proceeded to tell me “what’s so hard about walking up and pressing the doorbell” there was no sign or anything indicating which house she was in whatsoever. Even my girlfriend was quite appalled by her tone almost like she had to pay money for my backpack. I never followed through with the appointment because I left after the phone call. She then proceeded to call me back about my “reckless driving in her neighborhood”. Hands down one of the rudest people I’ve encountered she definitely lives up to her name. “Karen”.

Karen is an amazing seamstress and even a better friend! She took the torn up liner out of my motorcycle jacket and replaced it. This included inside pockets and my initials monogramed on the liner. It was perfect and now my son wears the coat.

I had ripped the the pocket off my ski jacket and Karen answered right away when I called. I dropped the jacket off with her and she kindly assured me it would be no problem to take care of it and have it looking better than ever. She did exactly that and had the jacket fixed in two days for a great price! I went to Imagine Sewing to have my wedding dress tailored. The fabric was super long on the bottom, and difficult to hem as it gathered so much. She was so kind and helpful - and she did a wonderful job! The dress looks gorgeous. Karen was so great to work with. She is extremely talented and can do just about anything. She was able to put leather fringe on my wool Pendleton jacket while many other seamstresses in the area told me that it was too difficult of a project, and could not take it on. She is amazing! Karen transformed silk I purchased 22 years ago from a silk market in Xian China (ancient capital). I didn’t have enough for a dress but the tunic she made is beautiful. I had a complete outfit made for my son’s upcoming wedding and am thrilled with the final products. Karen is a very skilled seamstress, professional, with an eye for detail and exactness. Experience was all around frustrating. The changes desired were argued and ultimately I didn't get half the alterations requested. I had requested bra cups to be sewn in to a formal dress and was told that wasn't necessary. So I placed them myself but of course they shifted all night and kept being visibly outside the dress. I also wanted to raise the slit of the dress. After multiple references to my "crotch" and arguing there was final agreement to raise it as requested, however when I returned the slit had actually been visibly hemmed lower. I requested to have this raised again I was charged for both the hemming I hadn't requested and to raise it to where it had been originally. The alterations cost more than the dress and I wasn't happy with the results at all.
