Take every review into consideration because the truth is somewhere in the middle. I've been homeless twice and know an example of a decent shelter that I would personally give 5 stars to and this one isn't it.Volunteers have gotten "axed" because they stood up for the disabled and elderly. There were volunteers (that I won't name) that made this place tolerable because they actually want to help, but can only do so much. I would go back here to volunteer because people should be humanized and not the opposite. If you are a part of a vulnerable population and need to go here, please write down help hotlines, bring a pen and put them in your pocket. Make sure you get ALL of your important things before you come and keep your eyes on them because shady characters are in and out of this place. There are cameras but it doesn't matter because Eugene lets criminals run rampant. You will have no phone privacy if you need to dial out for help, but you still have rights and you being unhoused doesn't take them away!I am grateful that I had a place to go until I got housed, but it's inappropriate and low empathy to dismiss peoples concerns about this place.

It's a good place when you have nowhere else to go. But fare warning you will never find any privacy. It's not the most comfortable place. But they do provide shelter and food. Beggers can't be choosers after all.

They are abusive towards disabled women I came here fleeing violence And was randomly woken up out of my sleep early morning hours. To discover that the covering I had on my bunk. Bed had been removed with another sheet. I was informed by a male staff that he had removed it 10 minutes prior to me. Waking up, what are you doing by a woman's bed while she is fast asleep. At 5 in the morning once I learned this. I was so creeped out that I left also I observed other people doing the same thing and not penalized for it

Garbage. They serve salad for lunch and dont allow outside food. I'd rather sleep on concrete than eat the things they got here.

Was there for the pro bono veterinarian clinic in shots about dog food? Got beds leashes colors. They're very very nice. They have it twice a month and it is at the mission in their warehouse in their parking lot. They start at 8:00 but get there like I got there at 5:00 in the morning and there was nine people they take five people out of time plus walk-ups so didn't leave there until like 1:30 p.m. You have to be homeless and they close at 5:00 but if there's only a few like three people or so they will finish up

So far in the last week. I e seen 10-15 men that used to be there. All homeless back to the vice that took them to the mission in the first place!

Tony and most of the staff were phenomenal as always but if you're unfortunate enough to get Tonya as a " navigator" turn and run. The simplest questions, worded very kindly throws her off and she goes into a tailspin. She needs a navigator to help her manage her emotions

Great place if you want to get clean and off the streets. They have programs that will help you get on your feet and in housing if you are willing to be clean and stay clean. Lots of amazing helpful people here that will not judge only help.

In Women Center it was a terrible experience because they blamed me that I steal other’s jewelry which I didn’t and it was an unfair decision. If my daughter went here I wouldn’t put my daughter through that after how they treated me. I was bullied and abused my whole life and everyone puts problems on me and it’s not my responsibility.

Yup, Ernie Unger the Director of the mission made this place. He use to have fundraiser dinners and the newspapers helped a lot. It's changed now it has an owner, wow!! All in all the community comes together in Eugene. We all need to remember we have more people struggling with all the events and the economy. We also have to remember places trying to do good can have bad apples. Hopefully, the owner handles that issue. that issue. Pray for our struggling people!!

My son is still alive and might make it to his 21st Birthday because of the mercy he is receiving from everyone at Eugene Mission. Thank you God and everyone there!!! Thank you for this chance I had thought was gone.
