Nick and the team at Directors have been great to work with! We have been quite pleased with their services three times in total now and they are prompt, communicative, and I would say as a whole, hyper-competent.The housing market is crazy fast moving in Eugene, and the ability to get answers quickly has been essential to keeping my gray hair population at bay. Has Your Auto-Pay Mortgage Payment Benn Made this Month? We refinanced our houses with Directors Mortgage on two occasions. Everything went well; we were satisfied. In a third instance, they promoted a new feature that they said would be the same a lowering our negotiated interest rate. This consisted of routing our mortgage payment through an intermediary bank. Each time a payment was made, they would remit $35.00 to this intermediary bank, a total of $420.00 per year. We accepted this proposal and that’s when the problems began. First, it took me two weeks to set up the various transfers from our bank to the intermediary to the mortgage company. That was difficult enough, but the main issue couldn’t have been imagined until the process was underway. And that was the timing of the payments: it took five days, or more (we were never sure how many), for a payment from our bank to be processed by the intermediary and another similar period of time for a payment to be processed by the mortgage company. I put extra money in the intermediary; I even set it up for the payments to be made a week or so early, just to be safe! All the time I was setting these auto payments, I kept waking up wondering if the payments would be made on time. Could I go to sleep and forget about it? I was doubtful. oThen, when the second payment was supposed to post, we received a late payment notice from the mortgage company and a $25.00 late penalty charge. When we told Director’s Mortgage about this, they put me in touch with two ladies that ran the so-called bank. They were nice enough but could only supply a bit of enthusiasm as to the process, if we’d only stick with it. Well, the late penalty confirmed my suspicions, once was enough. We could see this wouldn’t work out, so we cut out the intermediary. Henceforth, the payments were going to be made the traditional way—same day transfer from my bank to the mortgage company. When we asked the CEO of Directors if the intermediary was owned by Directors Mortgage, we were told no. Funny, because its name was Directors Bank: they are namesakes. Later, we were told that Directors did own the bank. I wondered why I’d been lied to. This scheme may not be fraudulent, but it might as well have been. We were out $25.00 Directors never offered to pay the penalty and we were never going to get the $420.00/year. We believe they should have paid us both the penalty and the $35.00/ month as long as “possible.” I parentheticalize possible because, given the complexity of the setup process and the timing delays in making payments, I have to wonder how long this so-called bank is going to exist? They started offering and promoting this scheme before it was adequately tested and ready for prime time. So, saps like us fell for it. And now were out a considerable amount. If we were acting as their Beta testers, we should be recompensed…

OMG!!!! Directors Mortgage is the best!! They were very open about every detail through the whole loan process and we even closed escrow in 20 days!!! It was amazing. I've bought and sold many homes and this was by far the lease stressful process ever. I HIGHLY recommend using the Team at Directors Mortgage. They will keep you a priority through out the process. Great job, well done and I will use them again for all my home purchases and refinancing needs.
