High ceiling, wide aisle supermarket shopping in the 21st century Whiteaker neighborhood. This is an amazing store, with a conscience pointed right at the customers.Oat milk a couple dollars less than over there, miles of chips, GF pasta choices, a full on candy selection and in house liquor store if you must.Beautiful. Staff always ready, locally owned and fully activated. Really cool.Literally tons of choices to get you back out there, convenient and/or ready to cook in nearly every category. Conventional and organic produce, vegan cheese and meats… deli salads and breakfast sandwiches…Need a job. Work here. Seriously. Otherwise know that they’re caring every time you swing by. Thank goodness for places, food and folks like this.

I love Bruns! Although the prices there have gone up, they've gone up everywhere. I can still find small enough cuts of meat for just me for an affordable price. Love the fact that the liquor store is there too!

I've always had good experiences when I shop there. Never have to wait in long lines, and they're prices stay at thier prices longer than any grocery store I've been at in the last couple years. I hadn't been the Bruns apple in about a year, yet I know for a fact the items I happened to purchase were exactly the same price as a year previously. That's impressive to me.

Macho workers/owner? used to brag about tackling shoplifters. I always worried that I would forget to swipe my card and get tackled cause I have headphones on and wouldnt hear the warning. Hope tackling doesn't still happen...I aprechiate the layout of the store and all the employees are very friendly these days.Don't forget to ask for a punchcard!I feel bad for making this a 4 star review and am changing it to 5 stars. Why? They had 89 cent bubble water "for the longest time"... *Cue music

Great family owned local grocery store. Prices are fare. Great staff and good deli food. DONT STEAL FROM THERE, YOU WILL GET CAUGHT AND CHASED DOWN. if you go in and ask for something to eat then most the time they will let you choose something from the deli or get you something else without charging you. There a great little local store that helps the community.

Awesome staff. I shop here often on out of state visits. Employees always take a minute to chat. The owner is a great guy. I ALWAYS make my way to Bruns' to pick up items I need on my visits to Eugene.

Very negative experience today. Tried to pay with $1.66 in change. At first she wanted me to count it out with a grossed out face. I told her it's 1.66, she counted out $1.60 and didn't want to take the rest. When I asked why, she got all hyphy about "this isn't a bank, I'm not supposed to do this!" At this point she is stressing me out so I asked to speak to a manager. When he came over I explained she was making me nervous and wasn't sure if she should be helping people. He said there are therapists in the area I can talk to, and they can't help me with that. I MUST be the problem!! When I said all I'm asking is for them to do their job and take my $1.66 and apply it to my $17 order, he said "oh you want me to show you how to do my job?" And started to refund my order. After asking for the OWNER he stopped and explained the owner was on vacation. Makes sense. I asked why I was being treated like this, as I've never been treated like this before. He said the managers have to count it all at the end of the night and it makes it more stressful for them. The cashier then mumbled: "im just trying to help and i get cussed at" so turned and called her out. I said what? Did you just say "___" and she said "no you said that. I didnt." Straight gaslighting me to my face, in front of her manager. I asked for her name so i can speak to the owner and the manager stepped up and said "my name is D, you can speak to me. Dont worry about her" so shes egging me on while knowing her manager has her back no matter what. Good for her. After convincing them to let me leave the store with my lunch, it left a foul taste in my mouth. Am I in the wrong? Do with this story as you please.

The fact that this place doesn’t have a bathroom for paying customers is enough of a reason for me to not shop here but especially while pregnant. It’s supposed to be a family friendly grocery store. Do better.

Really nice selection for a store without a big footprint. Produce is fresh and stocked, and there's a wide variety of brands in the grocery aisles.
