“Tsunami Books is a classic landmark for Eugene readers. I love wandering into this funky place walls filled with new and used books. They even have a rare book room, art from local artists, and some gift items like cool notebooks. It's fun to come in here and browse their shelves for a good book to take home or you can come in and sell your books to them if you're looking to make some space on your shelves. I think they have events here too as I saw a little stage area in the back. The staff is friendly and knowledgable and can even order some books for you if they don't have what you are looking for. The books here may not be as cheap as a thrift store or something but they are in great condition and have a great variety. I also appreciated seeing books highlighted from local artists. A great rainy day activity!”

“This is a sparkling gem of a small bookstore. Very well laid out and organized. Tou don't get claustrophobic but want to wonder through the nooks and cranies to discover books. There are many English translated foreign language books. More than most.bookstores I've been. Very tidy, clean and pleasant to be in. Very friendly owner. No store cat mascot, but there is a painting of a cat behind the counter that represents the store mascot. Definitely a must visit.”

“I was on a time-crunch so I only had time to do a quick peruse and not purchase but I was very impressed with the selection. My eyes were continually drawn to all the books with captivating titles and eccentric covers. Bookstores like these make it easy to shop small and local because even if their prices aren't cheaper their stock isn't something you'll find yourself stumbling on online or finding on Amazon. This bookstore has a great curation. It was organized and I particularly loved the displays in the front of the store and the little inventions (like "book darts") they sell. When I come back to Oregon, I'll make sure to stop by and buy a book! :)))”

“What a great selection of books. I didn't end up getting anything as I don't think the book I'm looking for exists. I literally just want a book with all the mushrooms that are edible here in Oregon. Mostly pictures with brief summaries. I did see some other things I'm probably going to head back and purchase later though. I feel like Netflix will cancel Sandman and I really want to see where the story goes.”

“Huge selection of used and new books here, and everything is very well organized. I'd say it's second only to Powell's in Portland for its size and variety.”

“What an interesting gem! I've lived in Eugene for 10 years and didn't know about this place until now. Their inventory is organized by a numbering system, so browsing feels super random. But they will look up anything you are looking for specifically, and you never know what you might stumble upon! I will mention though.... windows is a metaphor, they're in a basement so there aren't any actual windows.”

“I've been there multiple times...bought great gifts for grandkids and others. Liza is wonderful! I don't know what that other reviewer was talking about since she is so friendly and treats her customers like royalty. This is the best place to find unusual toys and things you won't find anywhere else.”

“The ultimate store for university of Oregon, clothing and souvenirs. There is also a nice section of stationary of general Oregon stuff, including magnets, coasters, pens, etc. They also have a nice café there to hang out and pass the time and really excellent cookies.”

“A neat little shop of alternative therapies, ideas, and spiritual aids. Items to help get you through this world. I bought some Chakra Votive Candles. Because I like them. Books. Chimes. Buddha statuettes. Stars, rainbows, the colour purple, the colour out of space. A place of comfort to help make you a life of comfort.”

“This is the comic book shop that you see in your head when you think "Comics" A mix of latest release, toys, models, and boxes and boxes of old comics in their sleeves, resident in white boxes. Like a LOT of white comic boxes. Organization is not the prime directive here, but the selection, new/used/valuable is good and the staff is the right amount of nerdy knowledgeable with out being nerdy elitist - you know the type... "Oh, you just started collecting TMNT and don't know about Groo the Wanderer..." Prices are retail for new stuff. A sleeve and board will set you back $0.25. Collectables are priced in line with the Overstreet guide, but they can be a little optimistic on the grading, so margin hard. I have never sold any used comics to them (hoarder!) and I cannot speak to pricing there, but they are legit is every other aspect that I have dealt with this on. In short, this is where I buy my local comics for myself and as gifts.”

“This has been my go-to shop calendar shop for a couple of years now. They always have my favorite Marvel comic calendars along with other popular themes such as games, comics, animals, and sports. Great place to shop for next year's calendar.”
