The only reason I changed to Aspen was because my work changed my insurance and Quest was no longer in network. I should have read reviews. Here's my experience. I have fairly health teeth, I brush twice a day with sonicare and I floss 3 times a day. I have to have cleanings every 4 months always have because of how my mouth bacteria makes a lot of tartar and to care for my gums. They said "oh, you need to be on a periodontal plan" I figured they knew what I had in the past but that's not how it went. They told me I had to buy a different toothbrush, toothpaste, and floss. They scared me into a cancer check even though I'm not at risk (30 bucks out of pocket cause insurance doesn't cover). I was there over an hour and they came on to me about lazer, antibiotics, a bunch of fancy machines. After it was all said and done they said my treatment would be 1500.00 out of pocket. I calmly asked for a form to sign to have my records transferred to another dentist (still looking) and fired them on the spot. Please beware of these money grubbing scam artists.

Really unfortunate first encounter. Highly unimpressive. I had my initial appointment to establish care. The office called before the appointment, almost like a collection agency, multiple times asking for my insurance. I told them I was with Delta Dental, and they could not pull up the insurance. They emailed me requesting evidence of insurance. Again, felt like I was being hounded before even becoming a patient. Worst of all, though, is when I showed up for my appointment, I told the staff member that my insurance is with Delta Dental. I even asked her if any of their patients are with the City of Springfield, since our insurance is all with Delta. She lied and said "No." I provided my SSN. And she could not pull up the insurance. I called my HR, confirmed that we're with Delta Dental. I went back into their office. This time the Regional Manager met with me, and using the same information, she confirmed in two minutes that I do have coverage that they would accept and that it's with Delta Dental. But she then told me that because of how much time was wasted on searching for this insurance that they could no longer honor my appointment. My mind was blown. This encounter felt first like I "shady" and did not have insurance/would not pay. Then because of their own staff incompetence, my valuable time was wasted. My father was a dentist, so I'm aware of how important customer service is in this field. And Aspen Dental was remarkably bad. . . and that was before even meeting with one of their dentists.

I would give a zero here if possible. This place is not only a joke but unethical. Went in for a cleaning and exam. They would not clean my teeth unless I agreed to a full exam with x-rays, which I told them I had done 6 months ago. After the "exam" they told me I had gum disease and needed $5,000 worth of work. I left and a second opinion from another dentist refuted that diagnosis. Money hungry liars. DON'T GO THERE!

Very happy with my service! Thank you for the teeth cleaning, Frances! Aside from the great service, the office is clean and organized. The front desk staff are very polite and professional. I am so glad I switched to Aspen Dental!

Receptionists made sure to get me scheduled while the servers were down. I was able to continue my cleanings after moving from out of state and Francis is so attentive and kind during my cleanings!!

I’m here being a support animal to my fiancé during his apt and just hearing how kind the front and back office staff are to each other and patients - specially Alec, makes me feel comfortable already. The lady taking X-rays was amazing as well! I work medical myself and I know it’s been rough these last couple days but your guys energy is it! Keep it up in this crazy world ♥️

I had such an amazing experience from the moment I walked through the door, every one from the front desk staff and the assistants to the providers and management were absolutely lovely. I appreciate how patient they were with me and took their time to explain everything. I definitely look forward to coming back. Pricing is very reasonable even as a self pay client.Update 5/23/23 I had my second cleaning with Francis he has very lovely and we had a wonderful conversation about his pets. He was very through with his cleaning and my smile feels amazing

The provider here is greedy and only cares about money. They booked me an appointment for a free exam and X-ray then called me at the last minute to tell me the appt would now cost $278. I told them that they don’t accept my insurance and I would do financing for any treatment needed because I’m afraid I’ll lose my tooth. The provider made the choice to take away the free exam and charge $278 and made it clear that she did not care in the slightest if I end up losing my tooth. Also keep in mind I am a healthy 23 year old with very healthy teeth besides one molar with a black spot. Again they clarified to me that the provider of this clinic made the conscious choice to not help me over $278 when I was told the appt would be free when they booked me. Snakes.

Apparently aspen dental does not honor their warrantee on denture repairs. I was told that even though the warrantee was still in effect, in order to get a denture repaired, I would have to pay for a office visit and exam. I paid extra for an extended warrantee, and now I have to pay more just to have a simple repair done. None previous customers get a free exam, but I have to pay to have cleaning (etc)? The office manager said in essence .... to bad, that's the way it is. Over $6k was spent on work done at this business and now being forced to pay more.

Great staff. Friendly and kind. My first two visits were great.Concerns: Not real supportive for obese patients. Although the billing person found me a comfortable chair. Blood pressure cups don't fit well.I had an extraction at 10am. Waited an hour and a half in the dental chair waiting as people stared at me walking down the hall.No communication. My first two visits, great communication. The extraction went great.Receive partial dentures. No information on how to care for them, written or verbal.

It was a terrible experience. I was told that I had periodontal disease and had to get all this extra treatment, which I didn't need. I went to another dentist for a second opinion, and I didn't have anything if the sort that Aspen said I did. I ended up having to get a CareCredit card to pay for my Aspen dental visit because it was thousands of dollars I was charged and didn't need to service for. The only reason I gave two stars is because it was a decent cleaning and the accounting took some money off my bill after I didn't come in for a follow up visit. The staff were kind, but don't take it as a strength, they may try to take advantage of you just like they did me.

Alec is an incredible asset to the Aspen Team. Not only was Alec very considerate of my time (e.g, calling or providing updates on the exact days he said he would reach out again), he was also very kind and patient when conveying that additional information was needed.I also didn't ask for a quote in services, but Alec is providing me one as he correctly surmised that it would be useful to know.Detail-oriented, punctual, and compassionate.Truly, Alec deserves a sizable raise because it would be very difficult to replace the level of service he provides.

Do not do business with these people. They won't ask you to pay them, they'll just send debt collectors 2 years later to try to get 32$ from you.
