Takes forever to get through lines and check out. The deli is absolutely horrible. The service and quality is beyond under par. They never have fresh bread late afternoon and that's when working people get off. The age gap to ask someone for help to find an item that's not where it's suppose be is just absolutely ridiculous. Go shop in momouth. You will be better off at winco.

I try to avoid this store at all costs. It is one of the worst Safeways I’ve ever been to. I’m sure working for Safeway sucks, but the employees and managers here are unbelievably rude.
Everything is more expensive, for instance, a gallon of water is somehow $.60 more here than at Grocery Outlet across the street…
Additionally, they won’t allow you to buy alcohol with your bottle drop money. They sell beer and wine, but won’t let you buy it. They act like you’re a criminal for trying to buy alcohol with refunded bottle deposits…from buying alcohol… Makes sense… guess I’ll spend my money elsewhere. I don’t need to be judged for what I choose to spend my money on, nor does a religious agenda belong in a retail business.

I truly appreciate having a clean, stocked store in our small community. But I do not understand the sheer lack of responsiveness to busy customer times and the lack of checkout lines. Today, at 4:45 - a very typical Friday afternoon/evening - 2 of the 6 self serve lines closed. Only 3 checkout lines open. Self serve customer line all the way to the back of the store. Each of the other lines long enough to reach into the store aisles. And 4 employees wandering around chatting in the front of the store. No sign of a manager. I’ve been in customer service most of my adult life and this is really not acceptable.

I tried to let this go but it was to upsetting. I was in on Monday and heared a manager yelling at a young girl that works there. There were other people around that hear this and I cant believe that this is exceptable behavior. I asked another employee who she was and they said her name was "Terry". I love shoping at safeway but its disappointing to see managment yelling at there employees. This really makes me reconsider shoping there.

The 5:00 dinner rush lines are a problem. They know that they are going to be this busy at this time so they should provide more cashier's to help. I started going to Grocery Outlet because I don't have to wait in long lines for 15 minutes just to check out there.
