I had my boys first vet visit with south Willamette and it went great ! From the front desk ladies to the vet assistant and vet themselves, everyone was super friendly and knowledgeable and gave me a lot of great feedback and asked me questions if I was concerned with anything. My dog has some anxiety problems and especially with vets, but they worked and did an amazing job with him! And my old vet wouldn't let you go into the exam rooms because of Covid, but even when Covid was done with they still didn't allow you to go back with your pets and south Willamette does which helps a lot with his anxiety! Overall, if you're looking for a new vet clinic, I would easily recommend south Willamette. Very friendly staff and vets.

All staff are very carding and friendly. Wait time to see Vet was maybe 5 min. My dog was happy to be there so that sums it all up for me.

Took off work early and waited an hour past appt time in the lobby for tech only vaccines. Due to my cat’s building stress, I asked to reschedule. They asked me to wait, even tho they had no update, due to “current animal emergencies that are keeping the techs here until midnight!” After not finding an appt to match with my work schedule, I asked for my cat’s records to be transferred to another clinic. I instead got a call one hour later from a supposed doctor I’ve never seen before, telling me to never return to the office “because of how I treated their staff.” Oh, don’t worry, my cat is ok, btw, after spending an hour in the car and more than an hour in your lobby!

This is ABSOLUTELY the best Veterinary Clinic I have EVER been had the pleasure of going to. Dr. Jackson Shelton and the staff at this place really are there to help. Nick at the front desk is awesome! We constantly recommend this clinic to every person that asks us if we like our vet. We will definitely be bringing our pets here as long as we can. Thank you guys again for fixing our dog Luna Ray!!!

No. They will charge you $400 and advise you to pay when your animal is obviously dying. If they give you a price outline, feel free to shred it and GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

My old puppy needed an end of life exam and possible euthanasia. We called around Springfield and we couldn't get into a vet for one to three weeks.We called South Willamette vet and they were able to get us in the same day at a lower price than we had been quoted. Their compassion was so amazing and agreed with my decision that because he hadn't eaten or had anything to drink in over 24 hours. I would 100% go to this vet again!! Thank you for helping me make the right decision and helping my Hercules over the rainbow bridge.

Wes Violet has been my parent's vet for years. Always for horses. Well, had to travel home while my husband is deployed for a family emergency. My dog Spur, had been an insulin dependent diabetic for a little over a year, he had gone blind about 4 months ago, and got diagnosed with Cushings. His quality of life was going down fast. We ended up taking him with us to live on the farm for the rest of his days. He had some great moments in those last few weeks. But it was time, he was in pain. I called and made an end of life appointment with them. They didn't know me, they didn't understand that I have been watching our pup slowly decline. He still wanted to eat and didn't seem like he wasn't ok to the outside. So they had to take my word for it. I thought I would have to sit there and convince them, it would have been so hard to do and so stressful especially without my husband. But they didn't need that. They took me at my word and helped me get my best friend over the rainbow bridge. It was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. They have a small candle that they light to let others know to be quieter. And they helped me with the paperwork and getting a spreading tube (to spread his ashes), I wanted to save that for when my husband gets back. Then they called me the next week and I went to get his remains. A week and a half later, I got a card in the mail, with everyone's signature. This meant the world to me that these people, Wes Violet's people, that didn't know my doggy, trusted me, and genuinely did their best to make this super tough experience go so well. Thank you. Truly, from the bottom of my heart. You helped us so much.

Dr. Violet is a fabulous vet. Not only knowledgeable and patient, but he will really work with you and explain different options so you can make informed decisions. He's a straightforward and extremely devoted person who will give you 100%. I haul my horses 1.5 hours one-way to come to him and I'm not the only one! He's a Lane County Treasure for sure!

While Dr. Shelton was nice, everything else was awful. The front desk staff was rude and both times we went in they were an hour or more behind schedule. We were quoted a price for radiographs and after signing for this fee, ended up being charged nearly $200 more than the quoted rate and told that "normally they'd have called but" they were "short staffed" and without it "may not have been able to properly diagnose." Diagnose my dog who ended up being fine, mind you. Save yourself the trouble and find a different vet.

SWVC is our choice hands down. They take good care of our pets. Their facility is clean and the staff are wonderful to work with. I feel the pricing is fair and I have no complaints.
