In November 2021 I purchased an Ipod shuffle for underwater use. It worked fine until it didn't--which, of course, was 3 months after the 6 month warranty expired. I'd have expected a 'small, family-run company (this, from their service phone number message)' to be more customer-oriented and helpful in addressing defective merchandise. One would think that a $240 purchase would call for a modicum of company interest in resolving a customer's issue. 3 months outside the warranty period and....nothing. Seriously, UA could have offered a repair for cost, discount on another unit, a prorate...Nope: the unhelpful and disinterested representative came up with nada. There exist many avenues for problem solving. Unfortunately UA is simply not interested in customer retention. Zero stars.A week later....The boss (I think) contacted me directly after seeing the above review. To his credit, he (the company) has updated policy to account for device failure outside the warranty period. This is much more in line with a customer-oriented business. Kudos to UA for recognizing and owning their error. Would that more companies be guided by this astute and rapid response to a dissatisfied customer. Know that this buyer is now satisfied and that Underwater Audio has earned my respect and future business.

Re: Apple Ipod swimming Shuffle Been using this Ipod since it came out in 2010 or around that time. I loved these swimming ipods. Great and easy for me to use. Know how to use this ipod I believe before this company started selling and supporting them post apple non support.Since Apple stopped supporting this around that time. Went to Underwater Audio to use for my swimming exercise due to my health reasons around 2019 or 2020.From the beginning Purchases, exchanged, repurchased, out of warrantee after 6 months, batteries died within a month and buttons don't function. Spent over $1000 over 2 years and on these ipods. Their policies were inconsistent on returns/exchanges and warrantee.There are many complaints on the web about these very similar issues on the ipod itself.Their policies are inconsistence when trying to exchange due to warrantee. Most of the time have to leave a message via phone and most times doesn't receive a call back. Would email them and in both instances don't receive a response because they are too busy for a family oriented company,Because I had so many dysfunctional ipods I complained and maybe called them out on them since I was really familiar with these Ipods. I've only purchased 2 ipods since the early 2010's and in 2 years with Underwater probable had over 7 ipod issues and money paid involved.Then about a month or so ago, I received an email saying they don't want to support me anymore and will reimburse me for the last ipod I purchased.I responded and wished to know who to call back to discuss twice and never received a response.I called and finally got a customer service and they told me they have exclusive rights to do this? I never received a response on why? since I like these ipods.I sent a certified letter to the supposedly president/owner *********************** and never heard a response back.In Summary, Many people like this ipods, but with so many failures and I fabrication of why their product fails,

I agree with the others here: These guys are great! I had a problem with what I ordered (it was a Apple shuffle that didn't work with my MacBook). They were helpful and kind. I will use them again--I will buy the Delphin next!

These guys have incredible customer service and great products. I have the Syryn 8GB music player and won't go swimming without it.

My underwater mp3 player came with Underwater Audio Swimbuds, but even the largest size tips were too small for a tight fit even with Ear Goo to help make a tight seal. I contacted Underwater Audio, via email, and Ben was so very helpful and prompt with information and an offer to send me a complimentary pair of a different style bud. He also sent me a link with other options that they offer as well. Response to my initial email was almost instantaneous as were additional communications. Kudos to them for being professional and helpful online sellers.
