After moving from Oregon to southern California, one of our biggest losses is the incredible fresh berries at Oregon Farmers Markets. Nothing available in SoCal even comes close. Frozen Oregon strawberries & blueberries from Stahlbush Farms comes close. Worth every penny and more. Thanks, Stahlbush!

I was previously rented farm ground to them, not a good experience at termination. Nor did they really ever leave the fields in that good of condition, rough and farmed at less than ideal weather circumstances. Not sure what "sustainable agriculture" they practice is, it sure resembled all the conventional agricultural traits to me. I let it pass as they were leasing the property when I purchased it and they were generally alright to work with...Things were under-case "okay" up until the day things got a little uncertain on their operation in the neighborhood. The communication became scarce and ultimately they decided not to renew the lease in April of this year, so they left me scrambling to find a new tenant. I did ultimately secure someone new on the ground, however it turned into an all out too late in the season change over. The new farmer couldn't solidly plan until I had a firm answer from Stahlbush, which came as lack of communication on the final day that was due to let me know what they intended. That move pretty well cost my new tenant any profit (it actually sounded like a loss for them without lease payment even being factored). Being fair to the new farmer I cant charge him the full lease rate and may not even charge them at all. It will likely cost me a little more than $7,000 for the year due to the lack of what seemed to be true intent from Stahlbush.I will never rent to them again and will advise others against it as such too. It leaves a bad taste in my mouth, kinda like the moldy frozen berries I purchased at a Corvallis grocery store from Stahlbush Farms years ago. I should have learned my lesson to avoid their brand with only a $7 bag of berries back in the day. Live and learn...

Former employee review here.Stress and overwork are the normal here. Very cheap focused management, beyond just cost saving priorities. Equipment is very old, some of the critical dating back to 80s and 90s. Instead of modernization they use the on-site options for making fixes or rely on finding surplus sources for parts. Often this is more expensive than replacing as the surplus parts fail fast and replacing is needed multiple times a year.Plant work conditions are very different from Administration side. Plant is very hectic and lots of theft. Admin is calmer and more stable, but there is a constant roulette of blame for problems. No one wants to be accountable for their mess, except for QA, Farm Mechanics, and Purchasing (they aren't perfect but more than all others).Work location is nice, being outside town, but is a drawback for lunch and when construction is happening on bridges and roads.Best as a stepping stone place to work instead of the permanent place. I was here 2.5 years before they cut me in recent company downsizing. They did not handle it the most respectfully, calling me to terminate in the last half-hour of work after pay period change. And only very reluctantly let me leave a message saying goodbye; was a "yeah, you can't be nice and hand off everything cleanly. Those that remain have to pick up the pieces." They then escorted me off-site after a hurried pack up of my desk and I never once gave them a reason to for this treatment.

No proper washroom facilities.... just that blue box on the side where one can take a leak or other.... no running water to wash hands etc. Very unhygienic...it's supposed to be a food supply facility where running water must be available.... driver or no driver....

If I could give them less than one star , I would. Between treating their employees like trash, and completely disregarding safety concerns and guidelines. Unsafe practices and absolutely incompetent management are their consistency as an establishment. Racism as well as sexism and favoritism are daily issues that are never addressed. Ultimately, I would like to say that this is the worst employer that I have ever worked for. I would not recommend their products to anyone either because of their terrible Quality Control. Be warned. This place is disgusting
