Rice's has an amazing level of compassionate care. They go above and beyond. My husband needed a medication urgently, which would prevent his condition becoming much more serious over the next couple days. A prescription had been called in to Rite Aid Friday afternoon. He was given a dose at the doctor's so we could wait until Saturday. I called Rite Aid Saturday morning at 9. They said it was unlikely they could fill it until next week. They were "busy". I explained the urgency. They said they had "other commitments" but I could try another pharmacy and get the prescription transferred. After a failed attempt at Walgreens, I called Rice's. Like day and night. I rushed over there to do the paperwork and they'd already got the process started. We then waited nearly 3 hours for Rite Aid to deign to transfer the prescription (which, again, is what they told me they would do). The amazing pharmacy hero at Rice's called them every 10 minutes and when they did actually send it over, was as excited and relieved as I was. A truly wonderful place and I will, in future, never go anywhere else. I even did the paperwork to get me in the system for the future.

If I pay a few dollars more for prescriptions (and I don't always), I'm willing to do so for the great service and dependable advice. This is the way pharmacies used to be before Big Pharma took over.

Locally owned pharmacy and they do a great job. The pharmacists are incredibly knowledgeable. They have a good selection of OTC medications too for reasonable prices - definitely better than Walgreens or RiteAid, but not as good as BiMart. But they have way better prices on prescriptions than anywhere else in town. Cozy, comfortable environment and they respect patient privacy.

Rice's pharmacy staff are so caring, helpful, and professional. I've always been very impressed with their service and it has not deteriorated over the years like some other places. Highly recommend!

I transferred a prescription to Rice’s because it was the only pharmacy in the area with my prescription after being out of luck for months. The employees were extremely unprofessional and took forever to figure out how to find my name in the system, and were very rude. They made me wait for over an hour before telling me I was unable to pick up my prescription and had to come back 3 days later. When I received a text it was ready for me to pick up again, it wasn’t prepared for me to pick up and 3 different people were working on my one prescription. After another 30 minute wait for something that should have been able to be picked up immediately, my prescription was ready to be checked out and I was ignored for another 10+ minutes. My prescription was also double the price it typically is at my regular pharmacy. This pharmacy gave me a disgusting feeling and I never want to go back. Save yourself a horrible experience and probably some money and go to Walmart.

A true goated pharmacy ?. They've always had my medication on time, they help me figure out if I should get a different pill type than the one I normally get to avoid shortages. Overall incredible pharmacy.

I just had the most amazing experience with the Pharmacist and staff. After being mistreated by several other pharmacies just for merely inquiring about finding a refill my medication, I found Rice’s to be so incredibly compassionate and helpful. I will be moving all of my prescriptions to Rice’s. Thank you!

I transferred my prescriptions to Rice's Pharmacy after a change in ownership at Fred Meyer, ending a relation that dated back to when my late wife, as a little girl, would see Mister Fred Meyer himself walking through his Portland stores making sure everything was in order. I was sayingpleasantly surprised to find that Rice's Pharmacy keeps to the standards of service that Mr. Meyer used to set. Now, I am leaving Oregon. Otherwise, I am sure I would have remained a customer of Rice's Pharmacy for life.

I was just in the pharmacy to buy one item and I overheard the pharmacist cursing to another staff member openly about an elderly customer on how to use their medication. How unprofessional and sad to speak about an elderly customer that way. I felt bad for the customer and other patrons in line and affirm that I won’t be using this pharmacy in the future.

The staff at Rices pharmacy is very nice and courteous. They get your prescriptions fast even with a long line.
