I was accidentally charged an annual fee after changing my membership. When I asked about it, they said they would reimburse me. It has been well over a month with me emailing and speaking in person to the staff but still no reimbursement.
Everyone I have spoken with has tried to be helpful but unable to just reimburse me. This is potentially a frustrating gym to go to.

You can buy a membership online, you can upgrade an existing membership online, but you can't cancel a membership online, which is predatory and greedy. I feel like we shouldn't have to pass laws to protect consumers from predatory companies, but apparently we do.

Canceled my membership due to transportation issues, get a 50 dollar fee a few days later. After being promised a refund MULTIPLE times in a two week period and getting stalled, ignored, and flat out lied to, the manager finally gets ahold of me to say that they aren't refunding it because apparently I'd have to cancel before the 25th to avoid the 2 month fee. I signed up on the 11th of July, was told I need to cancel 5 days before the 2 month period ended, i thought that would be the 6th of September. I canceled on the 30th of August. Was planning to go back when my transportation issues were solved, but ef that. I'll go to albany everyday for my workouts and physical therapy before I set foot in here. This was scummy and effed up. If I could rate zero stars I would.

Thorough incompetence. When joining, I asked explicitly if my son could work out with me as my guest. He was 11, and I clearly conveyed that, because most facilities don’t allow pre-teens. As long as I was with him at all times, they told me it was fine. They seemed excited for him to be there. And this was the activity he wanted to do with me, so I joined. For many MONTHS, we attended together with no issues or questions. Yesterday, suddenly, that’s always been the rule, and he can’t come back for a year when he turns 13.
So I said I wanted to cancel and get a refund for time left in the month. I was told they don’t do refunds (fine whatever), but I could use the membership for another week when it ran out. I checked my app when I got home, and I no longer had a membership on my app. The person claiming to know the rules so well misinformed me.
I’d leave one star, but the membership is relatively inexpensive, and my son and I did enjoy the facilities. And this is the type of gym where you mostly just need staff to watch you check in and turn on the massage bed stuff. You get what you pay for. And also, incompetence from the staff is a product of incompetence and/or mismanagement in leadership.

I would give it 5 stars but their air conditioning hasn’t been working and it’s so hot and humid, my arms stick to the message chairs, and my glasses fog up. The heat index is so high, it feels like Miami in August! I will have to put my membership on hold until the weather cools off, or they restore the air conditioning. Otherwise fine. I will be rejoining the Timberhill for the rest of the summer.

This is a great gym! The staff is always super friendly and from my experience all of the equipment has been really clean. The bathrooms and changing rooms are also very clean. It seems like a lot of the other members also intentionally wipe down equipment after they've used it and people are very polite.

After going to the Albany PF with flexible hours and brand new equipment, coming back here to see a ton of children playing phone games on the equipment, just makes me want to go back to the Albany location.

planet fitness really is going downhill. The toilets are covered in toilet paper/nasty and the showers….. are so nasty. No one ever cleans the mold and now blood?!?! This has been here for days!!!! How has a worker not realized this and cleaned it? You need to hire better employees because this is awful. Don’t reply with the “please let an employee know.” I shouldn’t have to tell your employees how to do their job. The mold has yet to be cleaned after months of me coming here. Y’all really don’t have rules about cleaning the bathrooms? Y’all really don’t enforce it?

Gym exercise areas are often dirty except foyer & restrooms. Tanning area is hit or miss if it's clean. Other PF GYM locations prioritize washing all equipment ( every inch) down regularly (in frt of customers in a zoning fashion throughout day) however this gym "NEVER" DOES. I clean equipment from top to bottom, sides & everywhere after my use bc i know its the only cleaning it gets. Never seen so much dirt in equipment cracks like this gym or under equipment. Ceiling filter hasn't been cleaned in 2.5 yrs despite comments to mgmt from guests. The employees at Corvallis are nice & helpfull though. Gym is cleaner when female employees are on duty vs male but all are nice staff. Mgmt is the problem, he doesnt prioritize hrs needed for a staff to clean so employees that are there dont focus on it vs like other gyms do. Gotta say, I do drive a longer distance to go to a cleaner gym like PF Salem location on Commercial. Wow Salem "really cleans" all day. I sure hope the Corvallis male Mgr doesn't work or manage the new upcoming Albany gym, would be such A bummer if it's run the same dirty way. I go to a lot of Planet Fitness gyms in travel & none are run like this.

Sent a letter via the mail to the Corvallis oregon gym to cancel my membership. A few days later was charged $49.99. I have left 2 voice-mails during business hours along with 2 messages with an employee for the manager to call me back with no return calls. This has been the most unsettling and ridiculous interaction and I would never recommend this club. Support a small local club.
