“This place is the real deal! Don't go in expecting it to be like a chain store or big box retailer, this is a local establishment with an amazing amount of stock and very, very knowledgeable staff! I was visiting from LA and had a conversation with Dale, the store owner (I was visiting family in Corvallis). He proudly showed his rare species, some even breeding in the tanks! Plants are plentiful, some that Dale grew in his own greenhouse. He even had a filter impeller I couldn't find anywhere in Southern California nor online! I worked many (many) years ago at a similar business, plus I frequent several LFS (local fish stores) in my area. Animal House is one of the more impressive stores I've ever visited. Once again, you can save a couple of dollars online or at a chain, yet local businesses offering the services provided by Animal House need to be supported. I'm making it a priority to visit this business again in the near future.”

“Wilco has extremely reasonable pricing for dog grooming. They have always done an excellent job with my pups both in Salem and in Corvallis. It took two girls to get my big dogs nails trimmed (he hates this process) but they get it done and done well. I love the way he smells when he comes home and he stays soft for days! The undercoat treatment was amazing on my son in law's Shepherd. It helped reduce hair so so much! Highly recommended!”

“I have had it all here: classes, private lessons, one on one play sessions, and daycare for my two dogs. The trainers at best friends have helped one dog significantly reduce their reactivity, and the other has been able to get socialized as a puppy and have some fun while her parents are at work at daycare. The puppy hates leaving daycare, she's always so happy to get there! The folks truly care about all the doggies they teach and care for.”

“Staff is nice -- the person at checkout made sure to check that I had a tank already set up when I was buying a fish. Good to know they want to make sure people are prepared for the bettas before they take them home. I mostly just wanted to share some pictures of the betta in his new tank in case the cashier comes across this so they can see the happy boy”

“I used to work for PetSmart and this store has it dialed in! The customer service is exceptional. The store is always clean and the pets in their care are treated appropriately. The grooming salon is amazing. All of the groomers are friendly and helpful. They always do nail grinds without complaint, no matter how busy they are. My dog is treated well when she's here too. I only wish they had a hotel.”
