It’s been awhile since this encounter but I think of it often and how upsetting it was. My cat unexpectedly got sick out of no where. He was fine one day, the next he was yowling in pain. I took him here and right off the bat felt unwelcome. Before even entering the back room I felt like I was being ridiculed by the front desk lady. Once we got into the back, the main doctor sat there and checked his watch every five minutes, gave my cat a load of drugs, told me my baby would be fine, but that they were closing soon, so he had to send me to the animal er. That’s where I was told almost immediately my cat wouldn’t be making it and I had to spend my final moments with him while he was high out of him mind on the drugs you loaded him up on. The vet at the emergency clinic literally apologized to me for this offices behavior without prompt. She told me that you should have prepared me for this. She told me one look at him and you should’ve known he wouldn’t be okay. You told me he would be fine and this happened all the time and that night I went home without a cat. I hope whatever was taking up your time that night was worth rushing through my kitty baby for, and that you felt some sort of remorse for it afterward. I hope you felt terrible coming into Cold Stone a month later seeing me working, you couldn’t even look me in the eyes. I vowed that night that I wouldn’t ever be bringing an animal to this vet again if I had to. The absolute hot and cold difference between the main vet at this office and the doctors at the animal er was insanity. I’ll be mad about this for years I swear.

Dr. Gross and his team are a caring, professional, and empathetic team who I trust with my dog. They are happy to discuss any and all concerns or worries you have as a pet owner, and have helped me when my dog was injured and needed care, as well as when we had our dog neutered. They consistently go above and beyond to help us care for our dog, and have created a caring environment for their patients at a reasonable cost. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a competent and kind team to care for their beloved pet.

The staff at Corvallis Veterinary Hospital are wonderful! Dr. Gross is so good with our animals and is a very caring professional. The technicians and other staff members are very knowledgeable and are able to answer many questions without issue. All care price quotes I have received are close to actual costs.
Even friends with difficult animals rave about the service. I will use this vet for as long as I live in the area.

Their hours are great but they can inflate the prices of things if you don't pay attention to the services you actually need

Very thoughtful, smart, and thorough staff. It’s really hard to find a good vet these days and I’m very pleased with Dr. Gross and his staff for our beloved dogs and cats.

Dr. Gross takes the time to answer all questions and explain options, and his staff is very caring and competent. And he never recommends unnecessary procedures.

Absolutely love this vet. The staff is kind, caring and patient not only to me but towards my dogs when they have appointments. They are informative with any questions or concerns I may have about my pet which I appreciate. Corvallis Veterinary Hospital has always been honest on what my dogs need and don’t need when it comes to certain conditions. Highly recommended!

We've gone to Corvallis Vet Hospital since 2020 and have had nothing but good experiences with everyone there. The vet techs are super nice and helpful. Dr. Gross is also a very nice and caring vet. Sadly, we are moving away from Corvallis, and will no longer be using CVH. Our dog Sofie will miss her vet visits here!

Very friendly staff and the Dr was great with my dog. Im so glad I took my Buddy there. I will definitely be a return customer. They understood about my Buddy who was an abused animal before I got him and treated him with great respect. Although Buddy wasn't all too enthusiastic about the exam. They will be a part of his life from now on. Thank You for being so understanding with him.

They would not save my baby. I had $2200 and it was Saturday night last night and I was selling my car since I have 2 vehicles to the dealership for $5100 on Monday morning and I had over 4k worth of jewelry with me and they wanted 4k up front. I had $2200 after they charged me $800. I lost my husband and my own health this year . My girl is my whole life and all I have and I'm sitting here watching her die in front of me. Unless you are rich don't bother taking your animal here they don't care. Very mean and unsympathetic and won't save your fur baby even in an emergency. Same thing with Wilvet in Salem.
