I depend on my bike every day without an alternative/loaner bike - other pro bike shops cannot guarantee repairs in less than 7-10 days, I need help now! If you cannot reserve in time/cannot afford a pro bike shop for issues and repairs - the Corvallis Collective will happily help in every way possible. Their team is amazing. They are passionate to describe and demonstrate how issues happen, what to look for, how to find replacements, how to repair your own bike. They have extensive tools and parts, if not in stock they're more than happy to help you determine specifications for a replacement and they don't ask much at all - so be sure to pay more than asked for, their years of expertise and willingness to help you achieve your goal (especially while busy with 4+ other customers at same time) is priceless!

I would definitely recommend this shop if you have some repairs that need to be fixed! The person working there took the time to explain the mechanics of my bike and how everything worked before walking me through how to fix it. It was a great experience and I will be back if I ever have anything else that needs repaired.

This place is great! Very beneficial to Corvallis and for any DYI er of bicycles. Dan, the cool guy, who works on Sundays is very knowledgeable and helpful with repairs and parts. He is inspiring and has wonderful recommendations of fun bike trip locations.

On my way out somebody cry's, "perfect"; and that's the way it is. This guy Dan rocks, not enough Praiseworthy thing to say.

The Good: Prices are reasonable on used equipment and new equipment. The store has great informative displays to explain various functions on bicycles. The meh: I went on move-in weekend for the university, so selection was not great. So, keep in mind bicycle selection may vary. The ugly: On 9/24/23 I stopped by the store to pick up a couple of parts. A staff member (AH), whom I can only assume was some amount of authority, choose to loudly and openly berate another staff member (BR) in front of other staff and customers for a mistake they made. From staff reactions it's pretty clear this is not the first time "AH" has done this. After finishing with their customer "AH" followed "BR" back into their work area and continued to loudly berate them for the mistake. "BR" tried to sooth "AH"'s temper but was only met with further hostility. Conclusion: While the store has many pros I am not sure if I can support a business that treats their staff with open hostility. I find it very concerning that "AH" felt comfortable doing that in front of customers and other staff.

Being 100% ignorant of bicycles other than hop on and ride... These guys gave me their time between customers to show/tell me what to do but never once made me feel like a fool for not knowing... I walked in uncertain and mildly uncomfortable walked out confident and ready to ride. It took me right up to closing but never once did they pressure me to hurry up or make me feel unwelcome at all! I will be back again! I want to thank the gentleman behind the counter as well as his trusty volunteer for being so knowledgeable and willing to help ? 10 stars 5 for each of you ?

So glad I chose to visit over a regular bike shop. Ron and Jay were super helpful and cool and fun to talk ti. Not only did they help me fix my bike’s axle, but they also helped me learn a whole lot! Ron got me all and every tool I needed and he only wanted to charge me $2! Definitely recommend if you have some time and want more than a transactional experience.

09/2022. Love this Collective! I got a flat tire and called around and another bike shop quoted $25 to fix it, whereas CBC said only $6 for tube and they’d teach me how to do it myself. Eric was working (and playing a violin symphony on the shop speakers, at a low volume, — which was such a wonderful choice compared to all the noisy stores that blast pop), and Eric walked me through my entire tire change, and taught me how to do it, did all the work for me but I also learned how which is great! He gave me new rim tape for free, and I paid $6 for a new tube. I also got to wash down my dirty bike w cleaner and then re-lube. Eric was wonderful help, kind and gentle, good spirit; really loved learning from him. Two other “customer” men were also working on their bikes, and they were friendly and respectful to me (a solo lady); one of them even gave me some help (valve was crooked) to avoid a future flat tire. I loved everything about being in this shop. I loved getting to learn, and also that it felt like potential for community building as well, while also being a safe space with posted rules against violence or weapons. Note: The tools free to use and also bikes/items for sale are all donated by community. I donated a little $ myself, in addition to the tube. Definitely returning here in future for most of my bike needs, and all maintenance needs, will be so great to learn how to do this work myself! I’m so glad a place like this exists. If I were to wish to purchase a New bicycle or specific item I would choose a different bike shop, since this one doesn’t order and keep stock like that.

Great place, got a nice mountain bike for a fair price and the employees even offered to help me add on additional parts and features as I saw fit. Very knowledgeable staff, would recommend.

This is my favorite store in the world! Amazing prices, a wide selection of parts, very friendly store owner, tools and equipment available to use with expert advice. 10/10 would recommend to any one with a bike!

I just called for the first time. I had not understand exactly what the 'Collective' part of the shop name meant... The super nice man who answered phone was very helpful explaining exactly how everything works there. The 'do it yourself' part, ETC and getting help I will need to buy a solid used bike and make modifications/repairs at time of purchase. I'm really looking forward to going there in near future to explore the shop and available bikes!! "Thank you!!" Susan
